      PaleRaida I didn't know they changed this, I never played the Zodiac version but I did play the original and maxed out every characters board. If you say we will be op with two jobs, is it possible to just choose to stick to one job.

    I personally think they should make only one job active at a time per character i.e. it could be like ff3 where any character can be any job, but only one at a time. This would mean an always balanced party, but at the same time: flexible :)

      yeah, that way there will be a change command that will allow you to change jobs during battle while being able to utilize both of your weapons. If you're a knight and you need to heal, change to white mage. Your stats will heighten or lower depending on the job. Your equips would change based on the jobs. And you get to see different weapons based on the jobs without having most of your weapons go to waste.

    This title, was created by the same studio as ffta. And in tactics advance, we had 2 jobs per character.
    Many people believe tactic advance is the best ff title of all.

    I remember in the original release on PS2, all characters had full access to the entire license board. Zodiac spear was a lot easier to get too

    I make changes. I'm thinking about Having Penelo as White Mage/Monk.
    I wonder how people are going to feel about this video...
    If I sound too cocky in the video, I'm not. It's just humor.
    So wonder what other changes they are going to do to make the game "easier".....
    I have to admit that I'm actually very hyped up about this, but I'm telling you..the game just got super easy.

      If they are going down this route wont they implement a penalty for taking 2 classes like maybe a tax on experience? If not and you are a power gamer then yeah it's broken... not everyone plays this way (I do though ☺). I hope they do balance it somehow.

      TBH D.K, Archer + Black Mage doesn't really make sense to me. Truly FULL Item Lores is quite a sexy proposition but ...
      you want your BM to be casting, meaning Staves and Mystic Armor > Bows and Light / Heavy Armor
      and the support options - Item Lores / Breaks / other Techs - are similarly out of place on an offense specialist, IMO.
      The (natural) extra HP would be nice, though, especially if Famfrit's boosts were both given in full :P

    Man I tell you: I personally have NOT played the original international version of FF12, but based off of what I saw, your characters already can become practical gods. That with only ONE job per character.
    With TWO jobs per character...? May the Occuria have mercy on us all...

    The amount of hype I have for this game is insane. So much nostalgia for my most favorite FF, I can't wait to play this for HOURS. So addicting, love everything about this game.

    Honestly DK, I agree completely.
    I really can't wait to play this game, and I will be doing it with one character to a specific job. It was made for the challenge, and that's the way it should be. Two people to a job sounds more overkill than it already is, through most of the game.

    Love your ideas and setup DK, I just considered every 12 jobs being used in one playthrough in best way possible just for the sake of it, I agree that Duplicate jobs like Samurai is awesome. And in weak mode i will probably have 3 Machinists for obvious reasons!

    I was never going to not buy this game, it pretty much tied with FFIX as my favorite in the numbered series. (We all know Tactics is best). As someone who never played the international version of XII the one job limitation was a bit of a shock given the nature of jobs with the original license board. I've watched a good portion of your playthrough of that version on your channel and thus aware of how much more powerful each job class is, however since I haven't played it for myself the idea of having to pick a job that your going to be stuck with the entirety of the game without even being given a chance to test it out in some fashion was disappointing. When I hear you talk about how much more powerful all the jobs are now that each job is separate from each other I was excited to try them all out for myself to see which ones best suit my play style. This decision of the team allows me to do so in a single playthrough, and thus I'm grateful for the decision.
    To anyone who's seriously worried about becoming severely overpowered I have two points. One its each persons choice whether to actually take advantage of the extra jobs. Two its a single player game, and thus who are you hurting if you do decide to take advantage of it. I honestly don't see any problem with this decision, there are people who do low level runs on the highest difficulty of an RPG for the challenge. I pretty much see this being the same type of choice. Nobody is forcing you to activate the skills in your second job class. if this gets more people to try and enjoy one of my favorite RPG's, then I don't see a down side.

      "its a single player game, and thus who are you hurting if you do decide to take advantage of it" this. oh dear god so much this. i legit dont see why people moan about being able to become overpowered in single player games.
      even in this game, if they want challenge, then just do a challenge run. initial level no license board is a thing many people have done before. i really hate it when the things in single player games i love get nerfed cause the try hards complain it's too powerful

    I'll be honest and admit that I was one of the people who was a bit disappointed about being limited to only 1 Job. However, my reasoning behind that was I hate restrictions in general when it comes to jobs and abilities in ANY FF. So, I enjoy Diversity. I'm content with 2 Jobs per character because, mathematically, I can play any job I want, with the only contingency being character locked. Oh well. I'm not too worried about the game being "Too OP" because that can be remedied (pun intended) by the player setting their own restrictions.
    TL;DR - I understand that people don't like this change, but I think it would be better overall for most players. An idea, though: Maybe SE should give the players a CHOICE to choose between 2 Jobs per character, or just 1.
    Just my opinion.
    Edit: For reference, I've never played or researched much about International FFXII.

    Thanks for the great and hilarious vid. Two jobs is going to be absolutely OP, with characters having access to two sets of phyisical / magick lores and two sets of HP passives. Nuts.

    main thing is most people never got to play the version you played and so alot of people dont know how hard/easy it was. especially since all they know is the original ps2 version. so it is a good call on square, it insures that old and new comers with be intersted in it, my main point is you are looking at this through a "i played it and it is not that hard" lense. you cant look at it like that, you gotta see it for what the new and old are looking at, like a said it is a good way to inure sales like you said in the video

    Im fine with this, it adds more options to the game and at the same time doesnt take away anything. If you want you can restrict yourself to one job still. Really looking forward to the game.

    Honestly them making the job system for this game was the best thing they did. When they started making games where all character could do everything it got boring pretty fast. Job classes used to always be assigned to characters in older games. whats the difference between then and now. I find Zodiac a far better game than the original. I also agree being able to choose 2 jobs is going to make this game extremely easy if they don't do any re-balancing. Also I always liked using Ashe as a Samurai because she has both decent attack and Magic which both helps Samurais' damage output.

    You should also be excited is that they're finally fixing the spell queue. I"m playing IZJS on an Emulator and it gets very annoying to have to wait for one character to cast Renew and another to use Steal.

    The international version was already much easier than the original (for me personally) so dual jobs is going to make it even easier and thus dead boring as far as I'm concerned.

    So this is what you meant by "you'll see my opinion very soon" lol. I do agree with your point, that the game will probably be easier. I've been playing the original international version for years and this is going to completely change how I play the game. Though I'd be lying if I said this change doesn't intrigue and hype me up lol. I guess we'll have to wait and see how they've "balanced" the game further when it comes out, which can't come soon enough. Keep up the great work!

    +Darkkefka I truly can't wait to play this version of my second favorite Final Fantasy game. Looking forward to doing this job system & just having a blast. And of course looking forward to your new LP of this that you said you were going to do while I was watching a few of your streams man. Can't wait. And more than likely going to continue replaying the PS2 version while I wait for Zodiac Age to come out.

    This is what I subscribed for! Insight! Something a lot of the other reviewers lack. OR they want to try and make use of all 12 jobs, some of which are nearly useless or have few redeeming perks for choosing them over something else which ramps up faster.
    I cannot possibly agree with you more about the zodiac spear and Uhlan job. That class is slow, and the damage gets outclassed fast. Whoever (basch) gets placed in that unfortunate role even if they get combined with other classes (time mage) will always be delegated to a spare/side party slot, brought in when needed if ever. It just felt underwhelming and clunky when I looked at all the licences, and you'd need too many espers (iirc) to make use of some of the better things that I'd rather spend elsewhere.
    You brought up the most important point that nobody else has as well. The fact you'd have to give up your other genji glove by spending all 30 trophies on atok to get the spear if you didn't want to waste your time on a 1% spawn rate chest.
    I cannot agree more on how much of a waste that would be. Its a shame other people aren't putting that bit of info in their content. If they did, people might have a much more enjoyable time with the game knowing ahead of time that they don't need to replay the game to fix that mistake.

      Honnestly... the Zodiac Spear is really not that bad to get it's 1% spawn chance sure however to major changes make this not nearly as bad as DK claimed :
      -First : Chest respawn by just exiting and reentering an area in this version compare to the original version where you had to go 3 zones away and come back, luckily the chest is close to the entrance of his room zone and ennemy only respawn if you go 2 zones away so you can clean the ennemies on the way get to where the chest spawn and just go back and forth.
      -Second : 4 times speed. Do I need to say more ?
      Honnestly getting the Zodiac Spear is a matter of 10-15 minutes which is really not that bad.
      But yeah Uhlan got the short end of the stick with the 2 Jobs, back when it was one job it had some advantage over Knight, they had access to the Holy Spear much earlier than Knight get the Excalibur, there was no way to get Holy boost with Excalibur so on ennemies not weak to Holy Uhlan had the edge with Zodiac Spear, Uhlan have 2 Swiftness compare to knight 1, Spears also have a shorter Charge Time than 2-Handed Swords, can hit Flyers and they have more Battle Lore, and Uhlan could get some utility without needing an Espers with access to 2 Remedy Lores and 2 Phenix Lores, and both Knight and Uhlan were better than Foebreaker due to Axe and Hammer being kinda bad and dealing random damage, but with 2 Jobs you can just ignore the shortcoming of any jobs which is what was sorta balancing them, and so indeed when you "cancel" the shortcoming of the Knight it outclass Uhlan in every way.
      And compare to Bushi Uhlan could still perform well compare to Bushi due to Bushi lacking Focus and Adrenaline, which Uhlan has, and lacking Heavy Armors until very late game.

    Well, you can always just not develop the 2nd board... Now as for the jobs I will be sitting down with the job maps but for now I'm thinking
    Vaan- Hunter/Breaker
    Basche-Knight/ Monk
    Baltheir- Machinist/Time Mage
    Ashe- Samurai/Uhlan
    Fran- Black Mage/Archer
    Panelo- White Mage/ Red Mage
    We will see how these fit together with the maps and adjust accordingly.

    So what if they reduce every single weapon stat? or the status gain per lvl? Or even buff up monsters? Who knows.
    i'd be happy to see the game being harder rather than easier.

      It won't happen they target a large audience and unfortunatly gamers this day tend to be less good than before which is why Video Games are easier and easier, so I personnaly doubt they will buff make the game harder, altough I would like it.

    I don't think they did it just for business purposes. If you look at the trophy list officially released there is a trophy for learning every ability in the game, which means in order to do it all in one playthrough, you need to have all 12 (technically 11 since machinist you can ignore if you have the rest covered) jobs to learn all the abilities. All of their major gameplay changes were designed to help you finish the platinum run in one playthrough.

    Nice vid DK, I feel like I got an idea of what Job's I'm gonna use for each character:
    Basch: Knight/monk
    Vaan: Ninja/red mage
    Fran: Black mage/samurai
    Ashe: Knight/white mage
    Bathier: Machinist/breaker
    Penelo: Red mage/monk
    I hope my experiment is a success.

      Black Mage are more powerfull than Red Mage in general, what Red Mage bring is diversity and he is also more tanky (more HP and shields) than other Mage but I personnaly like combining the 2 of them Red Mage isn't too shabby for dealing Magical Damage in tandem with the Black Mage and can switch to healing and support if necessary.

    I'm going to simulate the one-job system by combining jobs that are pretty similar. Same armor type, same attack modifying stats. Hunter/Archer, Samurai/Black Mage, Uhlan/Breaker, Knight/Time Mage, White/Red Mage, Monk/Machinist.

    My Character Build for FF12 Zodiac Age:Since only 5 classes (Archer, Shikari, Machinist, Time Battlemage, and Bushi) offer all 3 swiftness lores (reduce action time by 12% per lore, despite saying 10% in the description) and only Foebreaker and Monk can only get a 3rd swiftness lore from the late game esper Ultima. This is how it's gonna go.Vaan: Archer/Uhlan: Gets all the item lores, including Phoenix Lores, making him great backup support when the others are wiped. Uhlan also gives more Battle lores to boost Strength along with Heavy Armor to make Vaan's Bows hit harder. Will be getting no Espers since there really isn't anything worth unlocking for Vaan save for Chaos, and even then I would rather give Chaos to Basch for support spells. Can also equip the Burning Bow, which can be obtained early game, tho it will be a pain in the @$$ to do so in order to breeze through early game. Also gets Spears just in case, like say if the ingame weather is crap since it reduces accuracy of ranged weapons and Spears can still hit flyers, let alone the best spear the Zodiac Spear has the highest ATK power.Balthier: Shikari/Foebreaker: will be the Tank of the party. Will wind up favoring Ninja Swords over Axes/Hammers late game due to more consistent damage, let alone the ninja blades utility. For espers, Adrammalach for Shades of Black to deal with Flyers since his weapons can't hit flyers along with a battle lore, and Zalera for the Traveler technique and +435 hp for more hp for the Tanky one. Can also use Genji Gear late game, and it's possible to get two sets for him and Penelo, making it ideal to fight against superbosses like Yiazamat that has millions of hp. Gets all the breaks to debuff Physical/Magick Power/Defense. Basch also gets the physical breaks from Monk, and Ashe gets Magick breaks from the esper Zeromus.Fran: Red Battlemage/Machinist: Red Battlemage will give Fran a very versatile magic set of Black, White, Green, and Time Magick. Also the only class with access to Arcane Magick (Dark spells and Ardor). The espers to give are Shemhazai for Esuna and Cleanse, Cuchulainn for Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga, and Sleepga along with a magick lore from Machinist, and Famfrit to get high tier time magick like Hastega and Reflectga from Machinist with 2 battle lores from Red. Weapon Choices are Guns for ranged combat, Mace/Shield for envasion and melee combat, and Measure/Shield for buffing allies by smacking them with it with the shield to boost envasion from enemy attacks.Basch: Black Mage/Monk: Will get all 16 HP and Battle lores from Monk and all 16 magick lores from Black Mage. Since his base STR and MAG stats at level 99 are 78 and 60, this should boost it to 94 and 76 respetively along with having loads of hp from the hp lores. Mystic Armor will also likely to max out his MAG stat for his spells, while he has high STR to attack with Poles from Monk. Will get Chaos Esper for Esunaga, Holy, Protectga, and Shellga for support along with Ultima to get the last swiftness lore needed. One of the quickenings from Monk board will also unlock the use of Curaja and Bravery for Massive Healing and boost Attack Power.Ashe: Time Battlemage/White Mage: Decide to give these jobs to Ashe instead of Penelo since Ashe starts with "Shields 2" and the esper Zodiark unlocks the use of the best 1H sword "Durandal A". Since Ashe has the natural highest MAG stat of 78, with 15 magic lores to boost it to 93, then give a mystic armor to max it out and a heavy armor to boost her strength, which is also high with the base stat of 73 at level 99. Espers will be Exodus for 2 battle lores, Zeromus for +270 hp and the magick breaks, and Zodiark for Durandal and Durandal A from Time Battlemage and the Claymore Greatsword from White Mage.Penelo: Knight/Bushi: The extra battle lores from Knight should give more STR to Penelo so that it would be possible to max out her STR with Genji Gear late game (Which also boost MAG, hopefully to max since Penelo has the 2nd naturally highest MAG of 76 at level 99). Katanas from Bushi uses STR and MAG for power and the best Katana "Masamune I" is 1 Handed, meaning I can equip a shield that will boost her envasion, and Knight job will give her more shields that are better than the Genji Shield. For Espers, Belias for a Potion Lore and Libra, and Mateus and Hashmal for high tier white magick to make good use of her high MAG. making her a Paladin type character late game.

    yup I played IZJS on PS2 and yeah picking those jobs was not an easy chore unlike playing the US release where you could have everyone learn everything minus Espers. That last comment was so true and hilarious. xD

    Great video man Lots of Info for me Im late to the game but loving every minute of it. I cant believe this came out on the ps2 seems like so long ago. I went with a Rdm/Archer to try out the Burning Bow/Oil/Ardor combo its pretty sick damage

    My setup always revolved around how i like a certain class fight style and the character i use XD
    Bash=Ulhan
    He has always been my main damage dealer and in the original version of FF12 he was the one who had the Zodiac Spear.. so having him without it just feels out of place XD
    Bash has already a very high STR stat, so he does very well as a physical unit.
    Balthier=Knight
    I just like how he wields greatswords, also Tournesoul and Excalibur on him are killer.
    He also was my healer, but not very good at it XD i relied on Reddas spamming X Potions during hard fights for this problem.
    Ashe=Samurai
    She's a walking truck. Masamune+Genji Gloves on her shreds everything on her path so easily that's just laughable, keeping her berserked was crucial, but even without it she's OP
    Fran=Black Mage
    I always had a hard time finding a suitable job for her. She has been my first videogame crush, and i hated the fact i couldn't use her at her maximum...
    Then i decided to try her out as a Black Mage. Now i'm happy, she's a sexy killing machine.
    Vaan=Monk
    Vaan is versatile, so i decided to give him a job that could do damage and heal at the same time, nothing fancy, just raw power and healing when necessary.
    Penelo=White Mage
    Never really used her, she's the character i hate the most and she can't do shit exept healing.
    I will be doing a lot of testing with the second job though

    i was gonna get this either way, but i have to say the two jobs per character is a nice change in my opinion. not so much for "NOW YOU CHARACTERSS CAN BECOME GODS!!! rather than demi gods in the original IJS" but now i can give them two jobs that more accurately fits what they are in my mind. in games like this unless i'm going for something very specific i usually BS my characters into what i feel they would be based on their character. so my set up will be (main and sub):
    Vaan; thief/spearman. thief cause duh, spearman just cause.
    Penelo: white and black mage. i know mixing two mages probaby aint great, but meh. she always felt like a pure caster character to me.
    Balthier: mechanist and time mage. he has a gun mechanist has guns plus he likes machines. as for time mage, he seems like the guy that would be the time mage of the group.
    Fran: archer and red mage. her whole thing is bows and being in tune with mist and magic. this plays to both things. plus i love redmages.
    Ashe: knight and whitemage. she would be the paladin of the group. no question lol
    Basch: Samurai and monk. he would be the tank and he looks the most samurai of them. and one of his quickenings has him punch reality so monk fits lol
    so as you see, not optimized for shit. but will be still great fun to play to see how this works out at end game. i may just end up totally fecked and not beat anything (though looking at it, a group of Basch, Penelo and Ashe would pretty much destroy everything and keep me healed...) but hey, thats the fun of it. i may do a super leet optimised run for trophies at some point. but other than that, most of my playthroughs of this game have mostly been to feck around lol
    as for those yelling "IT WILL BE TOO EASY!!!!" just dont use the second job. if people have finished this game base level no license board, then you can with only one job. besides, you need to get a new license called L board plus to unlock it. just ignore that iicense and keep on going without it. simple right?

    I personnaly still think Samouraï + Knight would be extremely good those 2 jobs are almost complementary :
    -Knight lacks Swiftness which Samouraï has all 3 of them
    -Knight has healing spell but in the original version but it lacks Magic Power and MP with Samouraï having Magick Lore and Mystic Armor (and almost no use for it outside of Shade of Blacks and Motes) solves the problem making a character tha late-game that can hit like a truck and be a very good healer
    -Not to mention the White Robes + Excalibur combo (this gonna be good against Hell Wyrm ^^)
    -Knight has no way to hit Flyers, Samouraï has Shade of Blacks (which was made more effective in this version) and Gil Toss
    -Samouraï lacks the Adrenaline License which Knight have
    -Samouraï was lacking Physical Power until Gilgamesh Knight solve that by having Strength Lores and Heavy Armors
    Also Excalibur not really needed see most ennemy that are weak to light are Undead so White Mage with Curaja clean them out like nothing, also it should be note that there a SHIT TON of ennemies that can be oiled (even some bosses like Hell Wyrm and Shadowseer) which made the Fire weapons and Fire spell as efficient as Holy Weapon (Sagittarius A + Fiery Arrow or Firaga + Flame Staff with oil clean everything).
    I personnaly still thinking about which combination to make altough any combination of Jobs will probably be able to clear the game anyway for now I have this in mind :
    -Ashe : Samouraï + Knight (I already explain this one)
    -Vaan : Monk + Time Mage (OK that's the combination I'm the least certain about but Time Mage bring to the Monk the Heavy Armors and Swiftnesses, Time Magicks is a good addition (Immobilize and Disable are good for Mob fight, Hastega and Reflectga are good buff (I know Hastega Mote can be farm and Reflectga Mote can be buy but I don't like using item for this)) also Green Magicks (Oil, Reverse, Bubble and Decoy) can have their use and potentially all Breaks with Espers)
    -Balthier : White Mage + Hunter/Ninja (Awesome healer/buffer with lot of HP and awesome Undead Killer (which is the dominant type of ennemy in late game dungeons), swiftness and for Ultima and Yazmat Black Robes + Yagyu Darkblade and also White Robes + Holy Rod is suprinsigly good)
    -Fran : Machinist + Breaker (Breaker is physical powerhouse but can do nothing else until Breaks skill later in the game, Machinist is here just to give them more utility by giving him a way of dealing with Flyer (also Guns are more reliable than Hand-Bomb), some Item Lores and late game Time Magic)
    -Penelo : Black Mage + Red Mage (the strength of the Black Mage combine with the Diversity of Red Mage that sound good for me)
    -Basch : Archer + Uhlan (in all honnestly Uhlan just bring Adrenaline, Strength Lores, Heavy Armor without the need of Shemhazai and Holy Lance, Archer brings Elemental Damage, Magical Breaks and all Item Lores and also all breaks with Espers from the Uhlan)
    But yeah I'm still unsure about the good of this change it's gonna be so OP.

    I think I got an idea on who I want to give jobs to in my playthrough of the game. My goal is to have a combination of all 12 jobs in the game upon the 6 characters. Since each character can have up to 2 jobs in the game, this idea is now possible. I'd like your input DK (or anyone who can offer some sage advice as well).
    Vaan: Hunter/ Monk
    Balthier: Machinist/ Breaker
    Fran:Black Mage/ Archer
    Basch: Knight/ Samurai
    Ashe: Red Mage/ Uhlan
    Penelo: White Mage/ Time Mage
    How does this combination sound guys?

    People were complaining about not having the option to choose between the Zodiac Job system, and the original system like on the old international version. Then there were people complaining about there not being a Job change system.
    I guess this is some weird compromise that they came up with, even though it isn't the answer to what either group was asking for.

    I haven't decided for sure yet but I think my characters will be: Vaan - samurai and breaker, Penelo - black mage and machinist, Ashe - White mage and knight, Basch - monk and hunter, Fran - Archer and red mage, and Balthier - uhlan and time mage. probably not the best choices but I wanted a combination that uses all 12 jobs

    now that I think about it the job system makes sense since in the original you could be everything which makes everyone waaaaaaaaaaaay too op but it takes forever to grind your characters up. and I've always loved the whole sub class system so I'm even more excited about the game now. I think I'll likely do something similar to you but I'm gonna make penelo the dark mage and fran the white mage.

    Ashe, Fran, and Balthier are my favorites. Should I then make Balthier my white or black mage? Even when I played the regular version, Ashe was always the one I considered a knight and I used her in every party setup.

    The one thing I hated playing the IZJS on PS2 is that whatever the configuration of the party, you can't equip all of the final weapons. It just pains me to have that Durandal in my inventory and no knight to use it, for example.

      It is true but that level of minmaxing isn't really necessary. The difference is minimal and any character can do any job well, whatever you'd like them to do.

      I doubt they'll make the game harder to compensate for the two jobs. The game is just a remaster of the original Zodiac Job System not a complete remake from the ground up. Enabling you to pick two jobs per character is a minor change since originally the entire board was open to every character before a job system was put into play. Most likely this was a last minute change in response to feedback from the West who never got the job system to begin with and are thinking the license board is the same thing from the version we did get. Like Darkkefka said in the video, once the game drops most people will probably start bitching that the game is too easy.
      Besides it's an rpg, it's only as hard as you make it on yourself.

    I think the only reason I didn't like the idea of IZJS was it limited what you could use, which made customisation seem boring. Didn't even think it would make the game harder... I assumed the Devs would rebalance the game around the IZJS. Why wouldn't they rebalance the game for the zodiac age?

    well, you can always use only one job per character, thats up to you....even maybe a character or two with two jobs, and the others with just one....who knows! the best part is that you decide it while playing.
    I have to do my ps2 version yet, never got to finish it.....the memory card still works :D

    I agree with you man. Anyone who has played the original IZJS would know that, especially in the early parts of the game, it is even easier than vanilla FFXII. Combining jobs is very unnecessary. It might sound handy if you haven't played the game, but it really isn't.
    At first I was displeased by the fact that you only get to use half the jobs per playthrough, so I used an editor to get past that. After a while I realised that was a really bad choice.
    Seriously, the game feels much better with only 6 jobs.

    My most OP build that nobody talks about is Uhlan/Monk on Balthier for me. He can cast level 2 black magic, Holy, and hits like a truck. Good God my seitengrat hits about the same as him; given its Bow inconsistencies

    breaker + rbm for fran, knight + samurai for ashe, uhlan + machinist for penelo, balthier was always a white mage for me, basch was an archer, and vaan was a monk, the rebalanced all of the enemy stats since everyone can have two jobs it shouldnt feel too different, you just have more options

    I think it's a good move. You can limit yourself to a single job, right? So masters like you can limit to one job (or do a "Single Job Run" category) and other can use two jobs.
    This can also introduce some new strategies like you described in the video. It'd be fun to combine multiple jobs and see what combos you can come up with. The metagame will be WAY more interesting.

    I would not be surprised if they made other difficulty modes available. Not as in those 2 shitty ones before, but an actual scaling to make the game harder, give enemies more dirty tricks and more stats, health and all that crap. Honestly, having 2 jobs per character has always been something I thought would be interesting, but without a difficulty bump to balance it out, the game might get boring quickly. It's not enough that if you're smart and know how to "code" your gambits, the game can almost play itself out, and that you have an specialized class to deal with pretty much anything, now you have yet another class.
    I'm excited for the game, but it still needs to be harder imo. A difficulty setting where *EVERYTHING* scales to your level (but doesn't go below their base level), would be my preffered way of action. So say, I go early to Barheim passage to get a Deathbringer and overlevel my characters to 50. If I do that, all foes in the main story who have a base level lower than 50, would simply scale up and be level 50 as well. This would make the game much more interesting, and would make it challenging even at a high level, like 70 or such. I can see this being a stupid way to farm EXP though, so maybe they could cap how EXP something gives somehow, not sure on that front, not that it would matter since everything would just scale with you regardless.
    Hopefully they don't fuck it up, I'm really excited to play this in HD and without freaky Vaan abs.

    I like the video as I was unaware of the change. I do have a question though, is the a video out there that explains the full details of the zodiac job system as I've only played the PAL version released here in Australia on the PS2 and as such am a little unfamiliar with all the changes to Zodiac age. I am really hyped for it though

      Monks can solo them..but you'll need to farm reverse Motes first.

      Actually only Ghis use Elixir on Reversed character (and honnestly between that, statut effect and AoE Magicks Ghis is honnestly the most dangerous of them which is why in almost every video of them you can found Ghis is always the first target) Gabranth, Zargabath and Drace use only X-Potion and Hi-Potion but if Bergan is in Berserk he will constantly heal you (he hit for 5000 per hits) if you are able to keep Reverse active all the time (altough Zargabath can be put to sleep).

    Bravely Default encouraged a shitton of class experimentation to where you were heavily rewarded for doing so. Since I've experienced that, I feel it'll be similar to Bravely Default....which means it might not be as bad as you think. I've played 12, but not Zodiac so I'm extremely excited to add it to my collection. I do know that, it being Final Fantasy, there's probably some cheap shit in 12, some imo I don't think it'll get easier. They've also said they're going to make some changes to balance the game.

    I really hope they reballence the game to accommodate this. Only thing i can see them doing it increasing the cost of licences, which really isnt all that prohibitive.
    still, i look forward to doing single job challenge runs in the future, got really tired of the "everybody can do everything" train of thought that dominated 7-10.

    pode me dizer se esse jogo pro PS2 eu consigo colocar 2 Jobs por personagem? Pq depois de eu pegar o Espers Belias, não me aparece a opção de comprar a segunda Job.

    The only reason i dont even want to play the zodiac age is because i liked being able to max out the licence board and having a chacter be able to do anything if i could level up all the jobs and just have to switch between them with a chacter i think that would be fine

    I thought the Zodiac Spear gets a 100% drop rate from that chest at the end if you leave a certain 3 chests untouched throughout the game..

      That's only on the Original FFXII. On FFXII IZJS they removed them, and moved the Spear to a fized respawn of 1% chance of spawning.

    Is the new HD version of ff12 similar to the original? I lived in a place that doesn't sell ff12 but I got one from my foreign friend and I enjoyed it. Too bad my neighbour's pet destroyed it and I never see what happens after that tomato hunt.
    In short, does it have what ff12 have? Man, I don't even know that Ashe girl exist in the game and you made me want to play again just to see the rest of the game

    Throughout this video, I haven't seen you using the 3 Ultimate Equipment yet (Seintegrate, Trango Tower, Gendarme). I wonder if it's still possible to get them in this version. And I wonder even more if they had weapons design made for them. It would be a shame if it's still invisible.

    I agree with being over powered, I was always a bit annoyed that I couldnt change jobs and certain quite powerful abilities were locked behind certain jobs, like Time Mage only having Hastega right? But I dont want one party member being Time Mage just for one spell. EDIT: You even said so in the video!
