Thank you so much for this great video! However, I have a question, my pit is much larger than the ultimate pit shell, that means I have larger waste volume that I need to extract so it also means higher cost for me and it may not be feasible for my project. I used the build to shell option but my Overall Slopes for Every Azimuth 45 degree which is (45-90-135-180 and so on) are different from each other. Thus When i try to design a pit it does not fit with my Ultimate pit shell. Do you have a suggestion about that? Thanks for answering!
if you are using a constant slope, 45° for example, and using the build-to-shell option and using a shell with multiple slopes the detailed pit is not going to match the optimizer shell perfectly. One way to solve that is to add multiple geotechnical constraints by assigning different slopes that match the ones from the shell using additional wireframes that encapsulate these areas.
@@MiningGeologist Actually I added wireframes and used the variable constraint sectons but it didn't work! :( That's why I confused that much but i solved the problem by manual drawing of strings from toe-crest tools and checked the slope stabilities which I corrected part of the pit. Again thanks for the great video and answering it! :)
Hello. Is there anyway you could help me possibly answering a few questions... I'm basically teaching myself how to start/own/operate a mine and im lacking solid information. You seem to know a lot about open pit mining. I know that's a very broad statement, but more or less I'm looking for somebody educated. How much would you want for maybe 20 minutes of your time answering a few questions? If you felt like you had time or were interested, I really don't have much but I can see what I can come up with. I would really appreciate it.

I find your video's on Micromine so descriptive and informative. Could you please do one on Micromine Scheduling.
Yes i'll try to make a video about that soon thanks for the suggestion
this video very useful for me and other mining engineering students:) thanks for helping me out
You are welcome !
Thanks so much for the tutorial. You're helping me do my capstone!
Glad that I m helping!
Thank you for the brilliant tutorial. Where can I get data to practice your tutorials? Thank you!

@@denizdemir6672 Happy that you solved the issue !
Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
You are welcome !
Thank you so much @Mining Geologist it's a perfect video ,can we have a free version of the micromine software ?
Thank you Zeidane, Unfortunately there is no free version. But you can reach out to MICROMINE and see if they can give you a trial license.
Excellent!!
