My father Onkar Nath Sethi used to narrate me that locks of Dargah were unlocked by members of Handa Families of Pakpattan once a year and prayed first, after prayer, locked the gates of Dargah ,the keys were kept by Handa Hindus families for remaining months of the year.This was a tradition of Baba Farid Dargah.

وحَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ""أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَلَيُرْفَعَنَّ مَعِي رِجَالٌ مِنْكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ لَيُخْتَلَجُنَّ دُونِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ:‏‏‏‏ أَصْحَابِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيُقَالُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ""، ‏‏‏‏‏‏تَابَعَهُ عَاصِمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ حُصَيْنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں اپنے حوض پر تم سے پہلے ہی موجود رہوں گا اور تم میں سے کچھ لوگ میرے سامنے لائے جائیں گے پھر انہیں میرے سامنے سے ہٹا دیا جائے گا تو میں کہوں گا کہ اے میرے رب! یہ میرے ساتھی ہیں لیکن مجھ سے کہا جائے گا کہ آپ نہیں جانتے کہ انہوں نے آپ کے بعد دین میں کیا کیا نئی چیزیں ایجاد کر لی تھیں۔ اس روایت کی متابعت عاصم نے ابووائل سے کی، ان سے حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اور ان سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیان فرمایا۔
