Wow, Sonio also just released a Standard Simic ramp deck, but went in a very different direction. Cool to see two of my favorite creators in sync and repping the Combine.
29:30 I love how Corky went cocky with the GGs and I was also like, man, u nuts. And he backed it up, with leftovers. Vegeta stuff. And I want to add I learnt to love ramp through you. The way you speak of ramping truly evokes the importance of it. And you also convey the joy of it, of smashing a hullbreaker, or another 7d leviathan, when facing a newborn 5 drop. Almost related, that random day you played 'Voldarian stealing creatures' and claimed was one of your fav cards, and I got it while starting out in MTG Arena and immediately added to my BG ramp-ish MTG arena provided deck (when I got it, I never exhgane wildcards), which I liked because hey it resembles those rampy things that smooth talking smart youtuber seems to like, to never ever see it in play, unless I played it, also with much joy, until you put it in a deck explaining you also like it a lot. So as a never exchanging wildcards old-schooler (late 90s) that built many decks in paper just to try them out, I utterly respect the position you have towards MTG arena just allowing ppl to use all cards, and make money rather out of cosmetic stuff. I guess you see I heard your podcast, and I hope you still like reading comments. I won't match your wording, but maybe I can make you smile :) Ramp you skills, LVD already did!
6:19 We’re lucky mono red players don’t know when to attack all. If you block Squee you’re still at 3 and it’s an easy win next turn with a burn spell. Mono red can’t take turn 4 off against a deck with life gain.
@@ArilandoArilandobo3 is exclusively dinos rn (at least around platinum), and is not fun. However if you play mono black with edicts Dino’s loses every time.
Can't be alone thinking bramble familiar would be better 2mana ramp, although it weak to removal it gives you another ramp payoff on the same card... Nice deck
I really like tribute to the world tree with awaken the woods to make 3/3s instead, and if you end up in a board stall with double tribute you also get a lot of cars draw to dig for a Nissa to overrun the stall

Goose mother is just awkward. Tried so hard to make it work after I pulled 4 in packs but there is too much removal and aggro to durdle around with food tokens if it even sticks on the board

this deck is soooo fun! thanks LegenVD!

Love ramp! Made a similar list with a cave core to use Cosmium Confluence and Spelunking. Great video!
That mono R draw was ridiculous at 43:00 lol
It was absolutely perfect. The all-burn finish was nice.
Simic needs more love!
Love your channel
Missing good old UG tempo from Strixhaven :(
Lol the last couple times Simic got more love, we wound up with Hydroid Krasis, Oko, and Uro. I don't mind a little extra caution.
@@CodfishJoe krasis was so beloved

Good ol ramp! Love to see it! Awesome job as usual Luca! You're the best, man 😄
Beautiful deck!
Can't wait to see more mono red every day of the week, the amount of playmaking you get makes it so much fun
Well, you can just play Bo3 if you don't want to see it. It's pretty rare in Bo3.

I was underestimating the need for basics, those Capenna fetches and tortoise put in some work
I'm really glad the opponent in Match 11 (46:48) let you swing in. NISSA SMASH
Always love seein invasion of zendy. That is such a nice card goddamn.
ToI is such a good card. ghonna miss him when he rotates.
Great MVC
~13:35 Why does Dennick not stop tortoise getting a land from graveyard? Does it not count as an ability?
Dennick only prevents abilities that use the word target in their description. It is confusing
Oh that’s bizarre wording on the tortoise text but thanks for your answer!
16:50 atelast an interesting mono red!
With cavern of souls in the format spooking off the make disappears ramp is sneaking up on ppl.
Can't be alone thinking bramble familiar would be better 2mana ramp, although it weak to removal it gives you another ramp payoff on the same card... Nice deck
That's certainly the tradeoff you make. It also doesn't put more lands in play early which has advantages with a few of our cards.
Match 11 was 👌
So much respect for removal-less decks. I don’t think I could. 2 minimum for my angry ass
I really like tribute to the world tree with awaken the woods to make 3/3s instead, and if you end up in a board stall with double tribute you also get a lot of cars draw to dig for a Nissa to overrun the stall
Would be a great sideboard option, but can't afford to cast it in a lot of games.
I run an almost identical deck but it has 3 tribute to world tree. If you play Azusa then tribute, you get a card when it flips so it makes it worth
tribute to the world tree is one of the things that draws me to play mono green but sheoldred just completely ruins you lol

@@439801RS Maybe watch the video then? Or do you like deadpan-delivered incongruences explained to you?
Im mad when people say GG early, kinda disrespect in my opinion
I turned on mute long ago. Best decision Ive made with this game
Eh it depends. Most people either leave or the game ends before you can say gg so if you know your about to win I like to get it out.
@@Yt-gd8ps i agree, but we cannot communicate in advance to our opponent in arena, but in a physical ranked game i would have agreed and shaked your hand :)
I spam it the entire match
The only time I spam gg is when someone does this to me and I end up winning
Those burping tree pets piss me off more than anything for some reason.
I want this to work lol. I've played around with some builds, but it always felt weak.
I hoped you'd play more limited, love your draft videos
Simic and not goose mother????
Goose mother is just awkward. Tried so hard to make it work after I pulled 4 in packs but there is too much removal and aggro to durdle around with food tokens if it even sticks on the board
No Jorael voice of zhalfir?
Tried it in past videos, but it's not quite on the same level as Tortoise.
I don't envy trying to make standard content these days. "Oh look, it's monored again. Yep, Godrick on curve"
❤
Pretty sure opponent would have won game 1 if they just hit Attack All every turn. They kept awkwardly holding back.
I'm just gonna toss a couple of Ojer Kaslems into this deck and mono-green this mofo. See how that does
The amount of mono red really makes me not want to return to standard
Not your blog
Play BO3 then. Far less monored.
Fyi, it's pronounced tit-ania. The fae goddess of the summer court.
Good to know!
