For a apsc camera what’s the best variable zoom lens out there for cinematography in your opinion?

Hey, great question! In my opinion it really depends on what you’re filming. But I think if you’re looking for a lens that can cover a good range of common focal lengths I would go for something like a 24-70mm. I’ve used a lot of different brands, in terms of lenses. Lately, I’ve been mainly using Sony glass because I am currently using Sony camreas, but I’ve also used Sigma lenses a lot in the past and have always loved them.
Sigma makes a 24-70mm 2.8 that they say will work with a full frame and apsc, making it a 36-105 for apsc. I believe this could be a great option, but I would do some more research and see what will work best for you and your work.
I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching the video, my friend! It truly means a lot. Cheers!

@samaislam With all due respect he's completely off base with his comment. If he thinks the intro to the video was the first 3 minutes and 30 seconds, he needs a tutorial on video composition and how to watch one. The intro was less than a minute, running from 0:00-0:49 was is absolutely fine. In fact I'd be willing to guess this isn't your first channel on TH-cam because it's so clean. You gave fantastic examples and context in those first three minutes and I thoroughly enjoyed the explanation before the actual lens lengths... It's helpful, as a newbie to learn what the actual visual differences and effects really do with emotion and storytelling. I've subbed... can't wait to see this channel take off.

Thank you so much that truly means a lot to me! I'm really happy that the video could help and that it was enjoyable to watch. This actually is my first TH-cam channel that I've grown personally, but I use to make videos for my church's TH-cam channel back in 2020. I definitely learned a lot while working with them and I think it's helped me a lot on my own TH-cam journey as well. Thank you so much for reaching out and for your kind and encouraging words. I'm super grateful and it really helps a lot. Cheers my friend!

@@foxandcrowncreative That's awesome man, thanks for the response. I have a very old camera I'm using to film with and learning to optimize, just bought my first few lenses and filters after shooting over sixty videos for my husband's boxing channel Bambara Boxing. We have a vlog now I'm trying to get more depth and emotion out of the camera and I realized the kit lens just wont cut it anymore... So I'm really excited to learn from you and make better content!! God bless...🙏

So it was basically a 3 minute 30 seconds intro, you actually started talking about the topic and specific lenses at 3:40 mark. Please respect your viewers time and get to the point quicker. If you do so you viewers would like and subscribe because they will know they will not waste their time if they click to see one of your videos. My only reason for commenting was to let you know what can you do to be more successful in the youtube world. Hope it did not upset you. Wish you all the success.

Thank you for your feedback I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. My intent wasn't to disrespect. I love my viewers and the community we are building, and I always have y'all at the forefront of my mind when creating each video. In truth, I intended for the first 49 seconds to be the intro. The rest was an explanation of why and how we use different focal lengths to covey tone and emotion to further drive the narrative of the story. My goal with all of my videos is to provide as much value as I can, so I wanted to make sure I hit these points before talking about each focal length in the rest of the video. I apologize for the confusion, I will work on making the distinction more clear in future videos. Thank you again for reaching out. I appreciate it very much. Have a wonderful week, cheers!
