    Wow. This video really helped me to understand the film so much better and to appreciate the heartfelt collaboration of all the actors.

    crazy that the whole scene with autje walking towards her mom and jesse buckley breaking down was spontaneous

    This is the apology I spent the majority of my life wishing I'd hear from my own mother.

    What a wonderful film. Cannot believe that there was spontaneity in this scene. All three actresses moved so elegantly in response to the others performance so well that I for sure thought it was written in. Great stuff!

    People should take appology seriously! God hates abuse. Not divorce. Get out of an abusive environment

      Don’t distort the Bible. God hates both divorce and abuse. However, that doesn’t mean a woman should stay in a house where she’s being abused. Either make the man go or go yourself.
      Any man who abuses his wife will face God and have to deal with Him.

    Kind of hard seeing somebody get a kind of apology that I never will

    brilliance and moved. i have not experienced DV but know I will never experience a "meaningful apology" from enabling relatives who do not see themselves as emotional abusers, despite everyone knowing the truth, facts and evidence

    When I heard about the title of this movie, I knew I'd rather watch the spiteful Velma-series forwards and backwards. And this scene confirms what I thought. It's so shallow and vapid. Surely it's unacceptable to hit anyone. But no one ever dares posing the question: «What's the last thing she said?». I can't wait for the sequel «Men Not Listening».

    • @kwill84
      @kwill84 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      You clearly didn’t pay attention if you called this film shallow and vapid. This film is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time.

      Hmmm... the simple title "women talking" invoked such a negative reaction in you. I wonder what kind of person both finds the concept of women talking so angering, and implies that domestic violence can be justified if the woman is being disagreeable 🤔🤔🧐
      By the way, did you know that this movie is based on a real instance of men in a Mennonite community drugging/raping local women and girls in their sleep, that the victim's ages ranged from 3 years old to 65, and that the male dominated church authority did in fact tell the women that it was Satan or ghosts that committed the rapes? I wish that angered you half as much as the title "Women Talking" does.
