It just shows you how good Old’s Ambassadors were back then. As good as many pro horns from what I have read and been told. I have one from the 60s and it is built like a tank and still plays great!!
Some refer to F. E. Olds from the beginning through the Kanstul era as a "one tolerance shop." Ambys were just built heavier and less fancy. I love my little 1950 cornet.
Love watching these guys. I too restore old trumpets but not on this level. What you see here is years and years worth of experience
