Hi Chuck, is it possible, using a specific frame, to make a twoway contour if my regress contains a var1^2, var1 and var2. You help would be very usefull for my work. Thanks. Gerar
It sounds like you want to create a contour plot, but it is unclear whether you want to plot the actual values of your variables or predicted values after fitting your model. Note that you can use *predict* to obtain predicted values, and then plot those resulting variables. If you would like, you can email us at tech-support@stata.com with more details about the graph you would like to create, and we would be happy to help.
Hi, whenever I put in my variable in it comes up as covariate not found, do you have any ideas how to go about this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
The variable you specify immediately after *margins* needs to be a factor variable or an interaction term. For example, in this video we fit a model with *regress bwt age i.smoke* . We were then able to type *margins smoke* . On the other hand, age is not a factor variable, so we would get an error if we were to type *margins age* . Please type *help margins* to learn more and feel free to email our Technical Support team at tech-support@stata.com for any other questions.
Hi I have a problem when I use "margins". Could you please have a look at the error message as the following? margins, at(meta1=(-3, 0)) default prediction is a function of possibly stochastic quantities other than e(b) what can I do to fix this problem? Thanks!
If i ever pass the stata exam i will owe it exclusively to you. Thank you for saving me
wow, Chuck!. you are an excellent teacher!. My knowledge in STATA, I owe to you!. I have listened to almost all your videos in stata. Excellent!!!!
This is stunning! Chuck is the GOAT😅
Chuck is absolutely awesome!
Thanks! Best tutorial on margins in Stata I have seen so far.
Stop, coefplot and list *_n, Chuck is back with a brand new invention.
😂😂😂
Wow Chuck! Thanks you so much for your useful video. You help my life.
Best channel of stata! Finally I see you^^
Thanks, very helpful and easy to understand!
Simply AWEsome!!!
Thanks. Will try to practice margins and marginsplot
Very helpful explanation. Thank you!
thank you, you saved my econometrics course
Huber you rock! Grazie mille!
Great lesson.
It was super helpful! Thank you very much.
Wow Chuck! It was a super useful video! Thank you very much!
shouldn't the birthweight be smaller in the case of margins at age=45 compared to the age =30?
Great tip! Thanks for sharing
oh so this is chuck huber
Lo máximo, Jack, gracias.
Thanks a lot.
thank you, very helpful
Thank you :)
Stupendous!! Thank you so much!
THANK YOU!
This is great! Thank you
I would love to see this applied to stcox, with an interpretation.
I wish Chuck Huber was my PhD supervisor...
Do another PhD and request Chuck Huber to be your supervisor. Or you can collaborate with him on some important research project. Problem solved.
very helpful!

Hi. I want you to know that I am indebted to you for my knowledge in handling stata software. Thanks.

very informative
Thank you that was super useful
Tnaks, at the end you mention sem, but I haven't been able to find anything on that (and no factor variables allowed for sem)
especially for multi-equation sem, perhaps with different estimation methods e.g. mvml..
Hi, I'm facing a problem on marginsplot ti my study. Is it possible to send you an e-mail with my problem? I thank you very much!!!
