MY THOUGHTS:
The Pluto from KBDFans is a winner in my books. Super easy to build but still fun, you get some choices on mounting style (which I couldn't do on my proto unit) some different style PCBs you can pick from when buying it and a super sleek design on a fun layout. I will admit, I don't care for the simple back of the unit, it's a tad boring and uninspired compared to other boards in the same price range, but it makes up for that with a fun top piece which actually gives some character to the board using that silver badge and engraving.
The sound of the board is lovely in top-mount config and can definitely change depending on what switches you end up using and I would love to test this with an o-ring config in the future.

I just got my Kbdfans Pluto. Its sound amazing, nice Oring mount and multi-layout (my Pluto is 1.2mm PCB). No regrets, 10/10. If you can afford to buy it, buy it.
i luv keybor
Mi tu
Considering how Mechs&Co collapsed and I won't be receiving my XOX70, this is a nice replacement.
I’m in the exact same boat right now. I reached out to thocc supply and the worst part is that all of the XOX70 units are on their way to Mechs and Co
@@bc8092 We're all in limbo. :/
There seem to be a few TKL FRL's around lately. Would pweeaaasse do Cycle7 pweaase?
is this board available for sale by chance from your collection? Been looking for pluto lilac but unfortunately sold out!
I hope you can show us Pluto's Gummy Oring sound test in the following srream after you get some Clip-in stabs
i have ronin too thinking where to use it i think ill go with tkd cycle 7
Do you guys prefer genuine cherry stabs or TX stabs? I have a plate mounted board
Nice review Alex. How heavy is the Pluto? The weight looks a decent size
it's about 1.2 kg before being built.
I recently received this product and I'm looking forward to it!🤩🤩
Is the Pluto keyboard wireless? If not can I connect it with a type c to type c wire?
Would you recommend this over the tofu65 2.0?
Cycle 7.
Have you ever tried building the d45 v2?
what ear monitors are those?
Anyone have thoughts on this versus XOX70?
great value given the amazing sound and aesthetic
Maybe but it might get undercut by the cycle7 that is just on the horizon.
@@ProtomanZInstock vs GB
@@ProtomanZ Both sound good. Pluto can't be compared with Cycle7 bc of the difference in mounting style and low front height. Cycle7 is cheap, but Pluto will bring more typing feeling.
@@Chito6fsalso cycle 7 shipping is like 50 dollars
what keyboard is that other one that has red keycaps?
Class60
Choice65 when?
FRL TKL OH MY GOD I WANTED A BUDGET FRL TKL
The Cycle7 is even more budget and pretty goos
@@aftl_ryz8549 i guess i wasnt looking hard enough 💀
The neo frl tkl is coming later this year
@@vanscbreally? definitely hope there are more partnerships with neostudio, would love to see a round 2 for the neo65 or a neo FRLTKL early next year
what’s the keycap set on the keyboard at the top?
looks like Crimson Cadet
@@rleicesterMy b og I didn’t realize half the vid the top keeb is different i’m talkin bout the pink ones lol because i’ve never seen them on any of his other vids

this vs the cycle7?
Cycle7 any day, all day.
cycle7, easily
I will be taking a look at the Cycle 7 most likely today!
this one looks better
pluto if you want gummy oring and top mount, cycle7 if you like to tinker with your board
Skibidi popopop keyboard 😂
Cycle 7 just out to kill so many keebs. This and the Calla, at least.
cycle 7 or pluto?
Pluto is instock, together with the full brass bottom edition. So it’s literally down to your budget and time
Thanks for this!@@z4k1_zaki65
My custom keyboard journey is coming to an end.
I have one keycap set I am waiting for still, gmk indigo, which I’m gonna throw on a tofu65 2.0 because I love the way Taeha’s sounded.
I want to custom paint my bakeneko
I have gmk lavender, which is going to go on an f1 or f2.
I’m giving away most of my keyboards rn to friends.
I’m getting super into vintage boards and recently got a dolch blue alps board.
I feel you. Mine ended a while ago after getting a Jelly Epoch and finding an almost perfectly color-matched keycaps for it. Tbh, I miss the feeling of being new into the hobby; it just feels different in a very good way than what it is that I'm feeling with it currently.
@@XYZcity_hunter wasn’t a huge fan of the epoch, hated the sound and what it did to the hobby, but going back to vintage boards is fun. I am still hunting for a board that is comfortable enough to daily. All of mine are like too steep or tall
@@pokepokepoke64 sound and feel is preferential in this hobby, which I assume isn't up to your taste (which I respect and understand). Tbh, I'm actually leaning towards clackier builds during the later parts of my stay in the hobby, but the Jelly holds a special place in my heart ever since I started to hop on the hobby (which is why out of all the boards that I've owned, this is all that's left after I started paring down). I do also get what you're trying to say about what the Epoch basically did to the hobby; best thing that explains your sentiment could be found in one of Technology Brother's videos specifically about the exorbitant prices of aftermarket epochs due to the sheer clout it holds during that specific time in the hobby; everything almost basically revolved around the Jelly Epoch and GMK Darling, which really sucked.
my joy for new things about the keyboard hobby has stagnated, my boards have the same switches, opblacks/popus, gat cjs, and cherrys. ive told my friends if they have a board they like i can supply the switches since i bought a ton and theyve gone unused because i have developed a preference. have given away my keyboards to friends and most of my groupbuys have arrived. im now waiting for a gmk lavender extra that i bought for my last board. i wanted to strip the paint off my first board which was the bakeneko but i had given it a friend and also wanted a custom one off bakeneko60 with a weight but plans for that fell apart as i thought it would be too expensive to commision an engraving + manu. it was a short fun and expensive experience.
very nice keyboard
I’m only now realising that you have really really fast fingers
pluto is HAWT
Sorry cycle7 DESTROYS this
I concur
@@XYZcity_huntersorry, it has way worse value and its ran with kbdfans
@@sumkid9263 He's agreeing with you, Cycle 7 is 🔛🔝
@@sumkid9263concur means agree dummy
@@sumkid9263 uh, concur basically means agree.
What a crappy board. This one is a hard pass.
How is this keyboard under $250 LMAO! If you configure it with a plate and PCB it's over $250. If you get it without a plate and PCB, then it is under $250, but how can you clickbait that?
Damn, been an Alexsoto viewer for years. Sad to see him sell his soul for a few bucks.
Hey bro, put it in your cart and check. The site isn't very clear about it but it's actually 227 total. 159 for the case 49 for pcb and 19 for plate. I thought the same thing for a second but I dont rekon Alex would do that to his viewers so i double checked.
@@jayox6449 for $100 less, you can get a TKD Cycle 7 (same exact layout) with better materials, internal and external weights, and better color options. Not to mention that that $100 price difference also includes PCB and plate!
@@johnyjoe2k Cycle7 has less customisability and only supports one mounting style. Pluto has top and o-ring compatibility and it has a much more full-bodied sound over the Cycle which still sounds thin without foam and using the PC plate. The TKDcoating hasn't been tested nor proven yet either so I wouldn't be so quick to say their finish is going to be better. The amount of colour options is pretty much identical, Cycle just has many repeat colours in the coating and ano sections. Cycle is unprecedented levels of value for money but roughly 250 for a dual mounting style FRLTKL with a large chunk of brass in it is not bad value at all, and you're a damn fool if you can't see that
@@johnyjoe2k there is definitely a price disparity, which makes the tkd cycle obviously more appealing but what do you mean by "better materials?" both boards are using aluminum cnc 6063 and sandblasted brass inner weights.
@@augustjimhe's talking out his ass is what he's doing. Lies his ass off and says Alex is soullessly shilling and when challenged switches up and says the Cycle7 is better value. Fucktards on the internet, love to see it
