  • In this video, Eckhart answers a question about the manifestation of Presence. Where does it come from? Can we always choose to be Present? Presence emanates from a still spaciousness within.

I remember the first time I've experience my first minute of complete presence after listening to The Power of Now. I remember, my husband was talking to me and no thoughts came through, and I was not even trying. I said: " oh my god I am not thinking!" I burst in tears of joy because my life experience appeared to me so differently, completly open, sacred, spacious, complete. This is how I would say presence felt to me.

This man has allowed me to tackle life-long issues. By cherishing something as simple as attention/awareness/mindfulness/presence, I am slowly detaching from my "poor me!" ego generated from past negative experiences, and I am starting to properly forgive others and let go of hate and resentment. It's a positive commitment that soon brings results.

sometimes words seem not enough, but
Thankyou Eckhart for all you are doing and teaching!
you have helped me ( and everyone that follows you) more than you will ever know!
I too, suffered that " childhood trauma" and have looked for " answers" for many years now.
I am " late" to your teachings, and only discovered your work a few years back, when the " awakening " thingy ( we say " thingy" alot over the age of 60!🤣) started to happen, and I had not got a clue what was going on, inside me!
All your teachings make perfect sense to me , and I will continue to follow you, with a gracious Heart.
Thankyou again for all you do and especially the youtube videos, for those of us, who can't get to see you in person!
      ever grateful xx💛🙏

Seven years back when I was meditating I experienced vibrational energy which moved slowly upwards along the spine. With time this vibrational energy was felt even when I was not meditating. Few months later It was felt very strongly throughout the body whole day. Because of this body vibration I couldn’t go to a deep sleep. But every morning I got down from the bed as an energised person. An enlightened Buddhist monk gave me advice to be with it and accept it totally, therefore I lived with it for another 7 months. My mind was within me 24/7.
One night I experienced a tiny bright light moving inside my body area. ( it is from the mind) The light was rotating while moving. A realisation came to me that if not for this light energy there is no person in this body. That is all I remember. After a long time I had gone into a deep sleep. In the morning when I woke up I found that my mind has totally shut down. I was like a robot. There were no thoughts. I could see and hear but nothing was processing in the mind. This experience lasted for nearly four days and after that the normal person with thoughts came back. After that I experienced this silence mode now and then. It came and went automatically. With time the duration of stillness expanded. 3 or 4 years later it was there throughout the day. Actually after listening to Eckhart and discussions with Buddhist monks I came to understand that I have realised what buddha was teaching. No person, everything is a mind process. There is no difference between the stillness I experienced 7 years back with what I experience now. Same peaceful, state with 100% intuitive awareness.

There is a part of me that thinks Eckhart developed this "presence" mindset to deal with his negative thoughts and conditioning. Whereas with me, I have noticed my negative thinking has been conditioned in me through my rational thinking and life experience, and I then realize the danger of ego-identification, etc. All I'm trying to say is that for Eckhart and many others, "presence" may be necessary to empty out negative thinking, but I've found that my own thoughts have allowed me to change my perspective and therefore my negative thinking. I don't think presence is the only way to accomplish what he is saying

Thank you Eckhart. You helped me identify what I felt and what I am feeling. It's calming. 😊

This is where I'm at.. When he says" immersed in that inner stillness" and I'm not really active in the outer world. I understand that I'm learning a lot and still working on myself and Im like a lighthouse raising the frequency in my area, I meditate on sending love out into the world. I feel like I have a lot of work to do IN the world but it's not time yet. I do remain in the stillness and in my inner world a lot. I think in the past I felt guilty if I wasn't doing and going out in the world. I've made it ok for now to be in stillness and LEARNING to be passive as an exercise.

Such a great reminder, realise that you can choose presence and then exercise that choice: Wow! I would love to have this speech on Spotify to listen to it

You can be sense presence when you are not thinking 2:40
-the most important is become familiar with that state of no thought

In German people say someone is absent when lost in thoughts.

It's amazing that - primordial sayings speak more than anything. 'Come to your senses' is another. It has been known on a unconscious level that the mind is a place you very well can get lost in, and its important to remain in contact with 'reality' as it is.

Does the Presence emanate from the heart chakra??? How does Eckhart feel about chakras; is there any lectures / seminars / interviews where he address this subject???? Someone please answer this question as I feel it will benefit many who enjoy the concept of chakras !!!!
