This is an absolute gem Peter, thanks so much for uploading, you did a fantastic job with the presentation and observation. The music tops it off well. So much love put into building this, a rarity indeed today. Darren
Hi Darren Thanks for watching, Thank you indeed! I try to get the music about right (doesn't always work...lol), There aren't many broad gauge layouts but they are about.
Hi Christian Thanks for watching, although I have seen a couple of Broad Gauge layouts over the last couple of years. May I suggest taking a look at the videos of Bristiol Goods Shed on my channel, they are some of the first things I uploaded back in July 2022. Thanks
Years ago there was a chap called Mike Sharman who made some amazing BG layouts. You've got me thinking - I'm going to see if I can find some. I do recall seeing one under construction a few years ago, it must've been at a show in Weymouth. Edit: Bingo - I popped the name in on the search bar!
A dream I hold is a lottery win ('Riches beyond the dreams of evil men', as Nogbad the Bad used to say) that would enable me to purchase an old branch line and run it to the broad gauge, having had bridge rail specially rolled. It would be much sought-after by film crews. Scale 1:1.
Absolutely Wonderful, like stepping back in time - Playback on .5 to see all the details of the Scenery and rolling Stock - if only mine was half as good as this - Great modelling Skills on show. Many thanks 🙏🏻✨
"in the early Great Western era",true although at 0.22 one can see a vaccum brake pipe on the rear of the brake van, the Sanders system trial took place in 1876 but it wasn't until 1880 that William Dean decided that the GWR should design its own system, that would place this model in the last fifteen years of the BG era itself.
Hi David Thanks for watching, I'm no expert at any early Railway era's, I just thought it looked like the early Great Western period. But many thanks for your comprehensive explaination.
Lovely mate ❤
Hi Craig Thanks for watching, there are some really nice early era layouts out there, which are very inspiring.
How wonderful. Who made those GWR choc and cream coach models please Peter?
