Hi ...thank u for this . I don't know if u can make a tutorial on why seams don't match and how I can ensure my seams match . I usually have issues with the back of my dress the necklikes are never equal....I'm honestly feeling discouraged I'm very passionate about sewing but it's just not worling
I removed a clip when editing this video because it was getting too long and it’s a very important step to do after cutting your pattern but a step people tend to overlook a lot . The effect of skipping this step, mostly shows when it’s time to sew but then it becomes a struggle especially if your are a beginner. I have done this step in some of my videos . Anyway, always match the front and back shoulder seam after cutting to see if they are properly aligned and also see if you have a smooth transition around the neckline . If you are drafting on paper always use a sharp pencil Always match the front side seam after closing the bust dart with the back side seam make sure they are equal if not make corrections before cutting . If you are cutting on paper you can make corrections after cutting but directly on fabric take measurements with your tape before you cut then match the front after cutting , with the back That is before you cut the back.
