A lot of these songs are quite old but they were voted into the top 25 because they're legendary and they created the foundation of what hardstyle is today.

For any fan, these festivals are a paradise and everyone there has the same common interest, that immediate connection. Unity. get your arse over to the netherlands when there's a vaccine and experience it all for yourself asap.
Yes man! Couldn’t agree more, 2010 I first discovered hardstyle through hearing headhunterz and blademasterz ( Brennan heart), 6 months later I was at my first event qlimax 2010 and Brennan heart done the theme tune and the whole event totally blew me away as we don’t get stuff like that in Scotland and ever since I’ve been hooked! If you like headhunterz and wildstlylez you neeeed to react to project one qlimax 2016 or them with noise controllers deadiqated :) Also lost in paradise is one of my favourites too, great tracks
i'm so happy you did that reaction finally, got little bit tired to read the same comments all the time, now plz do act of rage vs d - sturb on shockerz, so we can read new comments in the section after that. 😂
What you are referring to as "classic hardstyle kick" is a kick created by Donkey Rollers in 2005 and revived by Noisecontrollers in 2009 (Ctrl Alt Delete track). It has started a revolution in 2009. It has created the new sound of years 2010/2011 to 2014 and some artists kept it up to 2016 when it got replaced by the tok kick (very short sound) (used 2006-2009/2010/2011) again. I like that you love Frontliner - Symbols. I re-discovered it some days ago and it's just perfect also with its second climax and not that simple melody.
I was about to say the same, you cant skip this guy. One of the founding fathers of the raw sound. The guy has it all. Nice kicks with the most beautiful melodies and a longlist of tracks that will keep you busy for a while. And a top notch guy in real life. Always takes his time for a nice chat or picture with whoever wants to at a party!
That's a very interesting remark made from someone that just got into Hardstyle (through Frenchcore) to say older tracks were more chill. For me Hardstyle was always about melodies that express emotions and to which memories and stories can be bound. Although I also appreciate going wild on a hard fat kick, for me these 25 tracks are what represent the best this amazing type of music. I remember crying during the show from the deep emotions I was feeling.
Funny thing is, for me Hardstyle isnt at all about 'emotion' and complex harmonious melodies... I started getting into hardstyle at the time of qlubtempo, inqontrol, early qlimax... Heroes of my days were Pila, Pavo, Dana, Luna etc... Just a good kick, some rhythmic synth sounds and godly reverse bass... I actually got bored of hardstyle when it went more into the direction of Headhunterz etc.
Builder is one of the old aliases used by Technoboy (and Tuneboy who also works with him since hardstyle wasn't born) in the classic era of hardstyle. You should check on discogs how many aliases he used lol Moreover you listened to the oldest track in that top 25, which is "Deepack - The Prophecy" produced in 2003, it was the second anthem ever made for Qlimax.

Most of the tracks in this are from Hardstyle‘s so called „Golden Era“ from 2009 to 2012. The style most prevalent at the time was „Nu-Style“, pretty much the predecessor of Euphoric Hardstyle. Tracks like World Of Madness and Symbols were some of the last of that era.
