Baby oil was once widely used to replace babies' skin oils after bath time. Although it has lubricant properties, its use was predominantly to protect baby skin whose natural protection is stripped by bath time soaps and detergents.
In modern America, more expensive products tend to be sold because they produce more profit... if anything is used at all. Many ordinary American families, after 50 years of inflation and wage suppression, regard baby oil as a luxury.

Baby oil was made for babies heads, lots of babies had cradle cap, the oil would soften the skin so as not to dry out.
no it was not dry out was correct but wrong end
I used it on my son because he had cradle cap. I would use a bit of oil to smooth on them after bathing. I really liked the foam oil. But of course it was discontinued.

We first must understand the Do's and Don't's of the use of "Baby Oil". Maybe comparison questions should be asked... How much "Baby Oil" is used by a Hospital compared to a Clinic or Doctor's Office? What is the ratio amount of "Baby Oil" compared to the amount of prophylactics used? (Although, the manufacture states... it shouldn't be used as that kind of lubricant)... How much "Baby Oil" was purchased compared to Body Soap purchases? You get the idea. But hey... Who's to argue the point? If you have the money to spend... does it really matter on what is purchased or why? Of course... Diddy's lawyer doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the tool shed either... The question only rose the point of not what was found... but how much was found.
