Welcome to the bagel club with a membership of almost every single tennis player who plays the sport! I tend to deal with heavy topspin by positioning myself further back and hitting back with topspin or taking the ball a little earlier with a flatter shot - though the former is higher percentage, less risky and easier to execute shot which you may prefer in a match situation!
Yeah, to be honest, I question why I didn’t take a step back. Watching this video, I recognize I’m returning a lot of balls over my shoulder, which isn’t my hitting zone.
Yeah, I think it’s neat. I realistically get a ton of feedback just watching myself play. The touch of how fast my serve is going, and the stroke is cool but it cuts the time your collecting tennis balls for you. That’s what makes it very easy. I’d recommend. they occasionally have promotions. If you can use my referral link that would be neat! Thank you! swing.vision/r/9ce1aa369db1ae0d
Hit it back with topspin, but you gotta hit through it. Hitting flat or slice is viable, too, but the actual "counter" to topspin is applying your own topspin. If you slice topspin, you're just adding to his spin (meaning it's easier to make a ball "die" or bounce really low because it will have more rpms). If a topspin ball comes at you, and it bounces a little high or sits up, you can absolutely slap it flat (kind of hitting it down into the court).
When you get better with the timing. You can also take the ball earlier, which cuts off his time to react, therefore turning the momentum in your favor to then let you decide if you want him to move forward (so you can lob him) or somewhere where it gives you an advantage to move up and finish the point ( so you can volley or overhead the ball). Tennis is all about taking time away from the opponent. You did well. But I can see how it's extremely difficult to deal with he's y topspin at first. - 4.5 player

Do you slice heavy top spin or return flat- what is your approach?
