I'd love to put one to the test. It just depends what I can get my hands on. I'm not big enough as a channel to really get noticed as a serious machine reviewer. Maybe someday I could get a few of these machines together for a proper 8 ton class head to head battle!
Hi ollie just about to buy my first digger and looking at buying the jcb 18Z its been a while since you have done a update on yours. what do you think to it now as you have owned it for a while? it it reliable etc?
Hei Ollie. Do you have any experience/thoughts about Wacker VDS system? Regarding this machine, i would have one thought, front greace gun comartment is nice, but would be nice to fit battery powerd gun there, seems like its only room for manual one.
I've had a play with VDS on an EZ26. Its an interesting idea but only works in one direction so you need to think about which way you are facing when you go on a slope to use it. Since I run a tiltrotator I don't think I would ever need it really as I can tilt the bucket to level myself out. And on a machine like the EZ26, it adds weight that makes it right on the limit for towing - not so crucial on the smaller models mind.
When you say there are better 8t out there what are you referring to as I’ve drove pretty much them all and kubota have got it all smooth power well balanced and speed.
I've been in an ET90 and personally I think its the machine to beat in this class. Not too big but with serious speed, power and lovely to drive too. Takes some beating I think.
If im not mistaken the same cab is in et65? but i know the ez80 has the same cab as et90. And don't forget wacker has steel pedals not rubber like kubota....
Yes I’m driving one find the seat so uncomfortable , definitely leaves nead to move back more , that radio not the best , well made machine as is anything from Japan ! But that cab 😢
@@Olliegunns xmcl lol , camso tracks please thay are nice (Michelin) , the Kubota is fine to drive but unfortunately that cab is so uncomfortable after 500hrs 😪
Perfect timing for a new review. Hope you get to try a takeuchi 8 tonner soon.😊

Takeuchi are fantastic. My favourite machines. I hope you get your hands on one.
Hopefully theyve improved the old one. The 8t kubota is what lets Kubota down in their line up in my opinion.

From what I heard the Wacker VDS system is great (own a et18 sadly no VDS, and ez80 both brilliant machine's!)

The Kubota isn't a bad machine. But having driven the Wacker Neuson ET90, I think that machine takes some beating.
I’ve used Wacker neuson good machine but the Perkins engine is louder and hydraulics not as smooth as kubota
Try an et90 and see what you think of the cab ...they have put some thought into them.

@@FinolaShaw-mi1vr well ideally the ez80 is a better comparison. But cab is still the same :)

Kubota 85?
Its called the KX85 here, and the KX80 in north America. Same machine as I understand it. The previous model to this was called a KX80 in Europe too.
@@Olliegunns ah gotcha

I wondered if you would see this, I know you're on one at the moment. Not just me with the seat then.... No XMCL tyres either!
