Nice video Lacroix Family, I had a crank and no start when my computer(DDEC-III) failed. The engine would run off the ether shots, so wasn't getting fuel. LEARNED, two things. One, the computer was dead. Two, was that my motor was a 11.1liter(engine label was missing). I though I had a common 12.7 liter DETROIT SERIES 60. Again, nice video Lacroix Family and be safe on the road until to see each other again. Many Blessings!!!😄
Literally the same here. For me last Thursday. I think it might be a ecm for me too. Only thing I'm trying to confirm before hand is why eventhough the cel is on, the ecm is not talking to the scanner.
Great to see you produce another video Yvan! On your change to the DDEC IV (I believe mine is a IV being it's a 2002), was the additional 40 hp by default, or did you have that added? At any rate, keep on busin' good buddy.
Awesome job on the bus and thank you for all the content, who do you have your insurance through, and have you had problems getting or keeping it? We were planning a build on a Prevost but have had a hang up getting the insurance part settled. THANKS!!!
how did you know the internal battery was dying..thanx and a great video...what does a new ecm cost..thanx will you replace battery and keep for spare...
nice work. did you carry a spare or order it? for future reference the programming can be done by anyone with a ddec laptop or does it have to be "mci specific"?
Your talents always amazes me, it was nice to see your wife again
Thank you very much!
So much energy. Simple when you have the tools and knowledge! Great stuff Yvan and Sylvie.
Glad you enjoyed it!
An awesome way to wind down on Monday! I love learning about the cruiser, and Yvan and Sylvie are the best team!
I hope you both are doing well!
Thank you! You too!
Superb vid.
Thank you

What were the symptoms of the old ECM?

We ordered it, a few things are MCI specific.
What led you to determine it was the ECM? Also, it looks quite oily underneath, do you have a leak you have yet to address?
Code 53, yes there’s a small leak that is avoiding being found, we use 1 gallon every 5000 miles
ECM mounted to the side of the engine, and wide open to the elements? Does not seem to be an ideal location for it?
That’s where they all are on Detroit’s
Who did your ECM? Would you recommend them?
Do you have a video of the Bluefire install?
No but when I come back home I can do it it’s very easy to do
