    In this video, i will show how can make a touch switch that is gonna replace the normal switch with the help of mosfet transistor.We will make a mosfet button that operates when you touch your finger to the terminal of the transistor.This type of switch can be made with regular transistors but connected in a Darlington pair multiply the number of transistors and amplifying the gain.
    The metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET, MOS-FET, or MOS FET) is a type of field-effect transistor (FET). It has an insulated gate, whose voltage determines the conductivity of the device. This ability to change conductivity with the amount of applied voltage can be used for amplifying or switching electronic signals. A metal-insulator-semiconductor field-effect transistor or MISFET is a term almost synonymous with MOSFET. Another synonym is IGFET for insulated-gate field-effect transistor.

      Cosmo John I think you can add a capacitor or check out the new video capacitive touch...

    • @TOMA21207
      @TOMA21207 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe even using transistor instead of the mosfet, when you touch it connect + with resistor to the base pin and it works when you remove the finger it turns off. Or if you need a mosfet because of the big load, you just add pull down resistor on the ON switch it will drain remaining charge and mosfet will turn off the time you remove the finger off of the switch.

    That doesn't answer my question about what milliamps at 4v to feed to the gate so I can calculate what resistor I need to reduce 50v to 4v so I can then add a variable resistor to the circuit so I can regulate the output of a DC generator I made without turning the motor gas idle down so I can leave it at a good RPM with a 50v 40amp output from the DC generator head going to a variable voltage regulator

    • @NoSkillsRequired
      @NoSkillsRequired  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dalton Neumann I don't get it what you need to reduce 50v to 4v?so you have a generator that outputs 50v at 40a or similar... and you need a switch or you need something to reduce the amperage?

    • @numatechprototypes222
      @numatechprototypes222 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NoSkillsRequired I just need to know how many milliamps the gate of the z44n takes or draws. so I can use oms law to calculate what resistor I need going from the gate to the source pin or ground so im not feeding the gate 50v and busting the mosfet by doing so.so I need 4v to the gate with a 50k potentiometer switch use it for variable voltage regulator for my diy generator. I know the gate takes 2-4v to turn on with a Max of 20v input to the gate .that's why I need to know how many milliamp the gate needs for my calculation. Please let me know the milliamp draw of the gate it's the only variable I need for my calculation. And thanks again for the help
