Pre Departure Orientation UGRAD Fall 2022

On 21-22 July 2022, we had our Pre Departure Orientation in Marriot Hotel Islamabad, Organised by United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan
The purpose of Pre Departure Orientation was to learn about Campus life, American culture, and visa and travel requirements. Moreover there was Alumni Panel Discussion where the Alumni shared their experiences and tips with us. Questions/Answers Session, Tea, Dinner, next day's breakfast and Lunch's arrangements and One night stay at Marriot Hotel's Luxurious rooms for candidates coming from other cities.
We learned and enjoyed a lot during these 2 days. Independent travelling from Muzaffarabad to Islamabad was really an empowering experience for me because I travelled alone to an other city for the very first time but everything went exceptionally well. I'm feeling more confident and Independent now. Thank you IREX & U.S. Embassy Pakistan

Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Raymond Castillo Minister Counselor for Public Affairs US Embassy Pakistan, who has also served for 10 years or more in NASA.
Miss. Silvija Stoljevska travelled all the way from Washington DC to attend this PDO
She is Senior Program Officer II
Asia, Europe & Eurasia, Leadership, Education
Silvija Stoljevska supports management of the program cycles to the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program in Pakistan.
Miss. Rita was also present
Rita Bruun Akhtar is the Executive Director of USEFP, managing the world's largest Fulbright Program (in terms of U.S. contribution), the flagship scholarship program of the U.S. Department of State.
Some Officials from US Embassy and Pak US Alumni Network also joined us
And Obviously all the dedicated team of United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan was doing their jobs exceptionally well especially Ma'am Faiza, Ma'am Madeeha, Ma'am Shaista and Sir Saleem!

Everybody is facing the same issue. That's why I had advised k last day ka intzar na krain time sy fill krain application. Ab itny ziada log ek sath apply kr rhy hn glitch aa gya hy koi... wait and upload the documents today!
