    Beautiful bike , bud. I have a custom built, old school. Bobber myself. Been riding forever. Come from generations of riders and builders...so im going to be honest. Its become popular to rock a naked back shoe.. you shouldn't have. A rear fender is way more important than a front fender. With an open , fat, rear tire a fender is a must.. if you ride in rain or even go throuh a tiny bit of water.. without a rear fender the tire is going to realease the towards the top of the tire.. its physics.. and it will basically rainbow a stream of water that will either hit you in the back of the head or go up and over, and it slows enough that you ride face first right into the falling stream. You gotta trust me on this.. its honestly a saferty issue.. because pebbled can also be thrown up and over and you ride face first into them as well.

      Yes you’re absolutely right!! I experienced it a couple times first hand 😂 but I knew what I was signing up for before doing it! Of course I did this build just for looks and just used this bike for cruising around town or to and from work on sunny days! But I absolutely agree anyone who wants to get more use out of the bike absolutely needs to run a fender!

    Absolutely beautiful. I get that the cruiser crowd likes it low but I'd lift the rear to get a more aggressive rider position. Maybe even skinnier front tire for better handling. New Fat Bob style Lightbar instead of round headlight to make it look angrier

    Hello, thanks for the video.
    The back (rear wheel suspension) of my Twenty Bobber squeaks when it bounces (goes through bumps). I removed the springs/shock absorbers and oiled/greased the bearings. no idea. Can you give me a hint?
    It is loud and you can hear it while driving.

  • @RealKalEl
    @RealKalEl 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Im assuming when you take the rear fender off OR you go with a bigger tire, the side license plate won’t work anymore and you have to put in under your seat? Sorry if that’s a dumb question, just learning

    • @JDLmoto
      @JDLmoto  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not a dumb question at all! You are correct though that yes the stock license plate bracket will not work. I did a custom one under the seat but there are also aftermarket side bracket options that attach to either the rear axle or shock mount too if you want to keep it on the side!

    Thanks a ton for supplying the link to the RC Components rear wheel. I've been trying to find a price for it. 16x5.5 in gloss black. Tax returns are around the corner. I was thinking about putting a 180/65r/16 on
    Do you like the wheel? Was there any problems or advice you would give for installing?

    • @JDLmoto
      @JDLmoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No worries man! I love the wheel, very good quality and beautiful finish! Install was a breeze. No additional spacers needed or anything. Make sure you order it with the stock Indian hub. One tip is because of the extra width you will need to remove the inner brake pad to slide the caliper onto the rotor and then reinstall the brake pad once on.

    do any of these mods void the fact warranty from Indian? I'm looking into buying a brand new Indian but keep hearing that any work done on the bike not done by Indian automatically voids all warranty. Anyone know if this is true?

    • @JDLmoto
      @JDLmoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to my knowledge. Obviously if you change the exhaust the exhaust itself is not going to be warrantied by the manufacturer but that doesn't mean the motor isn't covered if something goes wrong internally.

      The fork boots were the only mod I didn’t install myself. I had it done by the dealer when I got the 500 mile service done. I didn’t want to deal with trying to line up the forks and what not so figured I’d have the pros do that one!

    • @JDLmoto
      @JDLmoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You do need a bike to take the road course whether it’s yours or a borrowed or rented bike. Or you can take a msf course which provides a bike for you to use and gets you a waiver for your license. So in short no you don’t need your own bike to get licensed!
