"Hello Mother, Hello Father": An Exhibit on the History of Summer Camps

The exhibit Hello Mother, Hello Father opens on Friday, May 26, 2023. The public is invited to view the show between 4:00 and 6:00 pm and sample some summer camp-themed treats. More programming will follow this summer including a movie night with some early 20th-century films discovered at a former camp in Nelson, a presentation on summer camps in Stoddard and Nelson by Alan Rumrill, and a pop-up exhibit on summer camps, during which the public can bring an item representing their own summer camp experiences to share and display.

Saw the exhibit last week, and it is so well done. Impressed with all of the topics you covered. This exhibit is more than just about camps; it's a snapshot of cultural changes throughout the years.
