Clearly, this isn't about Minnie being chosen to help Amanda's boyfriend find a ring befitting enough for her sister. This all boils down to Andrea insecurities about herself and her tumultuous relationship with Chris that need to be acknowledged. I wouldn't be surprised if Andrea is envious of Amanda. Andrea is currently pregnant with her third child from a man who has constantly walked out on her after giving birth to her first two children, and she has yet to find stability in that relationship.
