U are wrong. U dont need to retap the first skill to land , it is better to use the second skill then ulti. The main combo is 1 skill then 2 skill and ulti but there are more combos. I recomend to use petrify to ensure kill. So the combo is 1 skill, 2skill petrify and ulti.

Your ultimate will be uncancellable even with supression skills when you use your ult while inside your first skill. Trust me, I reached Global with Kadita. I have a total of 1505 matches with a 68.8% winrate. This is not a hate comment, but please avoid retapping the first skill when you will use your ult or 2nd skill after.
