How to make GSM home security alarm using arduino and pir sensor.
it will detect the motion and triggers the arduino to call..
This Tutorial is about the home Security system using Gsm Module, Arduino, PIR sensor. This security system has got so many names like GSM Alarm System, Arduino Gsm Alarm, Arduino Gsm pir, Arduino Gsm PIR Sensor, PIR Gsm Alarm, pir gsm, gsm motion sensor, motion sensor gsm etc.
Gsm alarm system using Arduino and PIR sensor. detected through a PIR sensor a message will be sent to the given person. t both module pir and gsm then i will explain the complete project circuit diagram in the description link. the circuit diagram is also given then we will interface the modules with Arduino then after the project code is programmed and finally works.

So I'm looking to make this project for my car, after getting one module i believe i need a sim card to leave it in the module right? The sim card will call if motion detection is detected, the sim card has to be a prepaid so it can make the call?? Would you consider make this project using a different detection mechanism? It would be highly used be many people who have their radio unit stolen over night, we must stop that. I notice on the coding the delay number, would that number be smaller for a quicker call? Yes, you can make it as in different mechanisms using some other sensors. then you can reduce the delay but not more, it will probably leads to call rejection by GSM module because they require some amount of time to make a call and process, So the average delay is much better.

You can use any gsm module no need to modify the code, except mobile number and country code ,mostly we use male to female wires for this project

non of the GSM module has inbuilt sim cards, you should manually insert.

you can reduce the delay , by reducing the amount of time in code, set atleast 15 to 20 seconds for processing.

All GSM have some AT commands, based on the datasheet we can use different commands.

Hi, will the code be different if I’m using GSM Arduino shield 2?
For the GSM shield, you should use the software serial library to select the TX and RX pins, that is the only change in the code.

Nowadays most of all operators are upgraded with 4g
Idea/VI customer care is calling 2g/3g sim owners to upgrade to 4g SIM saying inorder to continue the service
Why this happens
Can I use newly bought 4g SIM for this 2g module?
If not , can we/shall we convert the network mode of the Newly purchased sim ( most likely to be a 4g sim) to" GSM only."?

case1): Today most of the telecom sector is ran into 4G, these sim cards can act as 2G as well(except jio4G). so you can use any 4G sim cards that support 2G functionality in this GSM module.
case2): Incase if you don't have an option to use 2G, it's better to upgrade 4G modules that are available in most of the online stores.

In this project, I use the GSM module which supports only 2g sim, for 4g sim you should buy a 4g module that is available in many online stores.
Any module is 4g or 2g Coding is the same.

Hi again, if I’m using SIM800L, do i need to use DC-DC LM2596 Converter?
Yeah, I recommend using this type of converters because SIM800L operates at 3.6 to 4.5 v or you can use 3.7 v batteries to powerup, and also this module consumes up to 2A. So, keep it in mind before using any converters or batteries.
