Given that you do mostly road work a T6 with Power command gearbox could be a better option. No range changes and can auto up/down if selected. Had no real issues over 21 years/14000 hrs on one tractor and and no issues on another 2. There's a whine under acceleration on most tractors. CVTs needs rebuilds/pumps, dyna4 and dynamic command are great but expensive to buy and repair. It's always a trade off. It's hard to go back to 40k when your used to 50k
I think it's a forgone conclusion as to how your choice will go. You have good luck with your current tractor so that is a plus. I question whether you need that big a tractor, it's not like your pulling a 6 bottom plow, with the trailers being your biggest piece of equipment.
when the poor farmer got home he went for a nice cool or hot drink. so by a wrong loaded trailer the ride was. bad. the lock pin needed some lubrication. the turning cirkel was good. collor was red and shiny . the very big question is what is the final say from mrs p. what does the boss think is the best deal for the farm.
Salutory lesson in loading a bale trailer! Interesting show that the smaller MF done a similar job to the larger Case. Good to see that it has a 120mph mode.
Nah 5s has a Front weight on it. Only it's looking like a frontloader. If the Maxxum had some weight on it's nose from a loader or frontweights it would ride at least just as smooth
Farmer P you looked like you were rocking and a rolling , alot .and so was biscuit. Not to sure I would like that ride for very long . Hope your backs ok. Thank you for showing us the trackers .
All those tractors were fine. The Massey seems just to be in the lead I think. Down to the best finance/service/maintenance and warranty. With a loader I imagine the case may be the most money.
Maybe you should have loaded the trailer more evenly when you got home and gone for another road test to see if it improved. I get the impression up to yet the blue tractor is your favourite.
Hi´ Ian. Even though i like the whine from the gearbox, i think the best tractor for Bradley Farm so far is the New Holland T5 140. Rigth now i personally think you should go blue with a frontloader.
A shame the comparisons were compromised by the loading which was undoubtedly the issue in my opinion. You did look most at home in the Case, then there is the missing loader part of the equation in terms of ride and price? George's talk about the front linkage seemed positive and with a paint up and possibly fitting in the deal could be a £5000 job in real terms plus he said it wouldn't knock the value of your tractor........on camera! Good luck, it is all a lot of money when you have a tidy tractor and your dad's too which would probably only be valued at the price of a new fitted loader if you sold it, crazy! Comfort and electronics ( not always such a bonus to my mind ) is where they have shifted most in twenty years apart from Fastrac who were way ahead of their time. As we are all feeling the effects of too many years bouncing around on the things comfort becomes more important for sure.

I am thinking that if the Money were close enough you will go with Case, That seemed to do the job very well and was only 125. Imagine what equal HP would do?
Hello Farmer P 😊. Interesting to note that Case seems to be the only tractor brand built for high speed driving 🏎️🚀😅. So far, the T5 has my vote for quietest engine and less bounce per ounce. In the T5 you were bouncing up and down with minimal sway. The MF was like a ship in high seas i.e. down at the Bow, roll left to Port, down at the Stern, roll right to Starboard. No wonder you were feeling seasick 🤢. In the Case you were bouncing more than in T5 and swaying side to side. Mind you that could have been due to the high speed you traveling at 😅. Great video, Farmer P. Take care and hug for Biskit 🤗🐶❤️
Put some weight on the front if there is weight on the back, especially if its loaded with a lot of weight on the hitch. Tractors arent build for road work, especially if unloaded.

Great video Ian, just a thought have you thought about trying a Fendt 500 which is also 124hp . I was in one a few days ago and it was the most comfortable tractor ride I've ever had and that was in the buddy seat.

What are you going to do if you have any more tractors to test with all the bails brought home. Keep well and stay safe.
What is the amber light on the dash? The sigh when you stopped the engine said it all. That trip looked hairy, and the transmission whine will not improve. Is the tractor supplied with a set of pot-holes to engage the trailer lift pin? It originally looked like an impressive piece of kit, but that video spoke volumes. I wonder what the owner thinks now ?

The whine from the electro command transmission is pretty bad. Interestingly, I had a t6 145 on loan from the dealership while they were sorting an oil leak on the t5. The t5 is quite a bit smoother and quieter on the road. Don't know if it's because it's got all new more modern drivetrain. No matter what you got pulling a badly loaded trailer you’ll feel the difference Farmer P 👍 perhaps you should’ve done a couple of loads badly and good loaded to see the difference with each tractor👍
It was the last of two loads of 16 that I loaded with the Massey 5S. The Massey didn’t enjoy the journey home because the load was heavy in front of the axle, but to make the comparison fair I had to load the second trailer the same. To be clear, the bales were well loaded and very secure, just not well balanced on the trailer axles.
You seem to do a lot of bumping up and down on the drivers seat. More wear and tear on your spin. Just think what the poor farmers had to put up with when they had no power steering, metal seats etc and open to the weather. Bet they had permanent backache.
The acid test for comfort would’ve been Abbi in the buddy seat - see how many times she swears or screams at you bouncing down the road. 😂😂
Now that would be some test!!

It may be the tyre pressures that's giving the uncomfy ride, and the loading of the bales
