Nickel Blitz/Buck Slant NN Setup: Base align and/or press, pinch d line, crash d line down, pinch linebackers, move nickel corner in, blitz one of the linebackers (see video for which one)
In this video, I show you guys the new meta defense in Madden 19 which is Nickel Normal. I show you guys how to get pressure vs a blocked HB every single time as well as how to counter it in a way. Hope you guys enjoy!

What’s the buttons for the play like what’s the buttons for pinch your D line
You can base a-line and shit the d line to the side of the blitzing corner. Then hover over the tackle opposite of the side of the blitz. Most of the time the left or right end comes in free but if not the corner does.

This is awesome. Many casual football fans will see this as just Madden cheese but real life DCs do things like this to bring dbs near the box to create blitzing lanes specifically teams that run quarters two deep split field coverages. matchquarters . Com has a great write up on how this is used to bring heat or to disguise heat drop and just set up run fits.

Honestly dont understand it that much tbh with you but match coverage just involves someone manning up with the guy in his area

When using this blitz what would be a good way to stop the quick seam routes cause people just pass real quick on me down the seams. And what if you can't really press cause your corners are not that good. Is there a adjustment to that?
You dont have to press with this defense, you can just base align. That being said, pressing from cover 2 isnt that big of a deal if you have bad corners. However, to stop the seams, id move your safeties farther into the box without pressing and then try to bait one with your user. Plus, if you are mixing in coverage without blitzing those wont ever be open

Can you slide opposite side and ID the outside LB with blocked RB?
Sliding is bad vs this usually. It will often times make the ends come in free

Brian Smith it's optional. If you don't press just move the nickel down

Not a great defensive player but I've always played nickel and I always Blitz one man and I think that's how Crossing routes always got on me

You have to mix in....Rush 3 buzz and nickel blitz 2 , and nickel meg.....out of nickel a gap.

Great blitzs but Whats the point of maning the linebacker tho...streak the tight and slant a slot wr and it will destroy this..the middle of the field is wide open..
Thats why you change your coverages. I was just showing the blitz. You gotta mix in different zones. And you man your user on the HB cause it makes him block worse

For Nickel Normal? It depends on my team and if its regs or MUT. But you likely wont need a package

Bruh so many gaps in coverage.. I'll dot that defense up.. Even if you man up a couple people itll still leave a lot of people open.. Stick to 335 odd.. Its better even tho it leaves hella gaps too..
Dalvin Stewart I personally am still running odd. That being said.... This is a great defense. You aren't supposed to send 6 every down. It's a mix up. Send 6, send 3, send 3, send 6

Oooooooh ok this is why madden sucks again smh two years ago nickel blitz was OP and now we are back on it. Smh lol. I'm cool I have the most takeaways on the leaderboards averaging around 2.8 a game!! I will keep my own cooked up defense that everyone doesn't run nor see too often.

@@arneg3991 apparently mixing up coverage also includes sometimes having no coverage at all.
@@cryeredd7563 Let me give you an example... So you send 6 and leave most of the middle of the field open correct? Maybe they dot you the first play, then the next play you send 6 again and you user the route that hurt you before and they throw somewhere else, then the next play you play coverage and leave nothing open in the middle, now they try to attack the sideline and you sending 6 again this time while usering the one route over the middle and maybe you manned up the other route going across the middle. Now they are likely sacked and its 3rd and 18. 4 out of 5 times you get off the field in this scenario. You cant do the same thing every down

@@BM-vl6bo Well when you are blitzing, you are sending 6 so thats probably why you think that. But it really just relies on how you adjust

@@BM-vl6bo Its because its a cover 3 shell vs a cover 2 shell and out of crossfire we usually leave one flat naked with the plan of lurking it ourselves if we need to
