Tatiana Booyakah is commanding the performance ❤

A lot of Jinjer's earlier stuff was played in drop c but when he started playing the multi-scale OD Venus he switched to drop a. Fun fact: Dimitri, Tati's older brother, is a watchmaker (Captain Clock).

They switched to drop A before the King of Everything album, when Roman was still playing Dmitry Oksen's old ESP. He only bought the Venus years later.

This is one of my all time favorite songs from this band. Such a great drive and message.

Roman has a guitar playthrough of this song that shows off how technical and odd the guitar part is. He does these weird little slides during the "chorus" sections that are really slick and sound gnarly as hell

Love this performance! I wish the mix had been better but the sheer power of this performance shines through!

Check out "Cloud Factory" live!! Another perfect display of how skilled every single member of the band is. That song also allows each of them their own individual moment as well.

I *adore* Tati's epic outro vocal in this performance as well as her bad-assery throughout.
It's so sad that the guitar mix is poor in this recording, because this song is full of incredible riffs & rhythms, & Roman really deserves credit for his work here. There's an excellent guitar playthrough of Captain Clock - you won't regret checking it out. It's worth reaction on its own.

I agree with the reaction to the playthroughs, Roman is criminally overlooked.

I strongly recommend the Alive In Melbourne version as well, much clearer guitar and a cathartic feel to the performance by Tati. On TH-cam it is the last track of the full set video.

The guitar playthrough for this is really good.

A few notable things about this video. After Tatiana did the lyric "time to go back to your soil crib" the second time and started walking across the stage she tripped and almost fell. Bound to happen unless you stand there like a potato and sing. This video is the only video I've seen where she drew eyeballs on her eyelids with makeup. One of the camera guys spotted it at one point and kept trying to catch her with her eyes closed.
Compared to other live videos of theirs the sound quality isn't great but the performance is of course awesome. Lamb of God also played that festival that year and that video is out there as well. The sound quality isn't any better for that one. Too much crowd and ambient mic and not enough direct sound from the instruments which makes it just a little better than a fan recording in the audience. It's still one of my favorite videos from them but even if you don't react to it definitely checkout the guitar playthrough and the lyric/music video. I'm not a guitar player but I think Roman plays in either drop C or drop A for most songs. In the guitar playthrough he plays a few open chords so you should be able to get the tuning from that.

Idk if this is a camera audio or a mixing issue, but yeah, I can understand your comment at the beginning where everything is very chaotic and doesn't make sense. On the studio recording, it is still very chaotic, but it does make sense. This song is a roller-coaster, and the lyrics are quite brutal, too.

Just subscribed. Enjoying your reactions. Jinjer is definitely best enjoyed live. From seeing the likes of Bad Brains and Fugazi back in the 1980s and 90s to now, Jinjer is one of the best live bands I have seen and Tati is one of the best frontment I have ever seen in any genre.
Some other good live videos to check out. I believe I took out the ones already on your playlist....sorry if I duplicated a few you have already done.

thanx for your reaction and you have to hear the official lyric song: Captain Clock (Official Lyric Video) | Napalm Records
then you will understand the song better, also because the sound of this song live at Resurrection Fest EG 2018 IMO is not special...
    warm greetings from germany

If you listen to the studio version, you'll see it all makes sense. Here there's so much distortion on guitar and bass you can't possibly know what's happening if you don't know the song. And even then it's a mess :)

Check out Call Me a Symbol if you want a straight forward metal groove that’s “easier” to follow,
or,,, for what Jinjer calls their “masterpiece” the song
      “I Speak Astronomy”
60 year old fanatical Fan here for 6 years now.
Jinjer is #perfection front to back.
PS heard you mention sound engineers in an earlier video and theirs, Sasha, is 100% for sure an integral part of the band and the “5th” member in my opinion.
