Water filters use a special type of charcoal known as 'activated charcoal' to purify water. Activated charcoal works through the process of adsorption. Note that adsorption is different to absorption. Adsorption binds impurities chemically on the surface of the charcoal filter rather than physically absorbing them.
Umm. Charcoal doesnt work instantly right even if it is crushed to fine dust? That clearly wasn't proper drinking water. Could have killed him right. And boiling it doesnt mean you kill all bacteria. Some bacteria survives water boiling temperature is what i found out on google. I mean he drank something that went thru a fraction of what the government does to literally make sewage/raw/sea/ground water drinkable for human. Unless behind the scene he made diluted choco milk?
I haven't watched any of your videos before but this was relevant to my job so I clicked through... You've got a talent for videography so keep it up! And I would love to see more crazy, off-the-wall practical Lego ideas like this. Hoping for more fun science-y content!
I think you have to force the water through the charcoal to get that shock-and-awe clear water transformation. But we were impressed by your bravery, in drinking the whole glass!
I am an Australian Scout. The best way to filter water is to put it through any sort of filter. Then boil it twice which will kill all germs and dirt and other junk
Uhhhhhhh. dont do that..... it's really not safe... especially stagnant water. Be safe my dude. I love the videos. let's stay alive to keep making them :) thanks!
So basically the carbon in the coal bonds with the big nasty stuff so it kind of acts like a sanitizer but the water is fine since the molecules are smol
Thank you for the like my guy, jokes aside, keep up the work man, you have some really creative LEGO ideas that i never really see any other channel have. Thank a lot :D
To do this properly you would need to cause some coagulation and and do some other filters for a long time. This was a brave attempt, but please do not gather random soil and try to filter it. It won't be clean and could give you some nasty diseases or worse.
Coouldnt you make it wear you juzt pour it in the top and it filters it all in one go? Like ik it will be long and tall but it would be so much easirer
"I don't wan't to drink ground water"
proceeds to get water from a ground pump
Lol that’s exactly what I was thinking

@Savanara Sum thx
In order for the charcoal to work you have to crush it up as fine as you can get it. the finer the charcoal, the better it filters.
Lego grinder/crusher

No the charcoal can be ground finer than most sediment so nothing but water can get through the gaps, there is no chemical reactions that happen.
Hey this isn’t real science it’s Brick science eh
@@WORRIEDANGRYDAD most bacteria die at 65 C so hes fine.
There are some things LEGO was not intended to do. This is one of them. I appreciate the ingenuity nonetheless.

Thanks so much for the encouragement! And the click!
Have a wonderful day!!
Yrs
Hes right
So beautiful ❤
Him: Cuts the tube
Me: NOW THATS A LOT OF DAMAGE
Breaking a common piece is annoying and infuriating if there isn’t a spare, but breaking a UNIQUE piece is heartbreaking
I think you have to force the water through the charcoal to get that shock-and-awe clear water transformation. But we were impressed by your bravery, in drinking the whole glass!
Ya
Brick sience: cuts lego tubes with sizers
My hearth: hurts badly
Nice grammar.
@@boooofer Bruh shut up
Yep. That's the moment my soul died. 💀👻
@@olibrix1288 dude i mean it. If he aint that old i’d say its good enough. I mean... you can still read and understand it.

Man dude that’s good I’ve been watching you for about a week and bro am I impressed I’m glad to see a TH-camr I can relate too
Thanks yo!!
Random person. " what would you have to survive with?" Me "all the assincals." This guy "L E G O"
This was juste the best intro 👌
The way you throw that poor lego piece 😂
Awesome job! Love your enthusiasm!!
Amazing! Another fantastic build.
And another funny background story. The dirt water really seemed... well.
Thanks!
Brother put a small piece of charcoal in the glass and keep it for sometime in the last step it will filter it.
you do the best videos
This idea is completely bonkers and you need to crush the charcoal into a finer powder, putting it between sand layers.
Bonkers in a good way
Yes. Completely bonkers in the best way.
Ohhhhh maybe that’s why it still tasted like dirt...😂
@@Brick_Science Pretty much!
Charcoal actually has tiny holes in it that filter out debris by the debris going in those holes. This is why charcoal is used in fish tanks.
Great idea! It wasn’t a good idea to watch this as I ate lunch but it was enjoyable haha
Lol oof
Thanks!
@@Brick_Science roblox oof is gone
As me being 13 I love Legos still and you are a legend
You are committed dude!! You just got a sub
honeslty, one of the best intros ive seen in a long time

So cool!😮
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities and some are considered to be unnatural......
Bro really said “yay…..”
i love this channel
you are the master of the lego
Thanks for making this video it helped me with a science project in school
Don’t ever try this at home.
Don’t even try this anywhere!
Build a floating LEGO ship from only bricks...
Man your channel is exploding! Already at 14k!
1:09 this actually gave me tingles 😂😂
The most impressive thing is my man actually drank the water
🥲🙂
His immune system is having a World War II right now
So good Well done man amazing job
man i wish i was excellent as u ur great keep it up man!
Charcoal actually has little charcoal monsters in it that really like eating bacteria, they think it's pizza
Pretty cool
Today i drink water.. but this water coming from amazon forest........ amazing video man
Good video but
So dirty water.
😂
THIS VIDEO IS AMZING!
HOW DO U ONLY HAVE 33,5k SUBSCRIBERS!
U NEED TO HAVE 33,5MILLION!
Thank so much!!
Bc his channel is only 3 years old
The final output looked like tea
I like your videos 👍😃
intresting design i think that it is very good
you can also use gravel as a finer filter
and also 0:32 fow do you be safe with goggles but you drink water? good video.
That was a grate idea!
At the start: safty goggles.
later in the video: *takes off*
Uhhhhhhh. dont do that..... it's really not safe... especially stagnant water. Be safe my dude. I love the videos. let's stay alive to keep making them :) thanks!
Ur wild bro.......also get ur self checked out 🤣😅😅
BRO HOW DID YOU STAY SO CALM AT THE SPIDER
i think 1 coffee filter would have done the trick
So basically the carbon in the coal bonds with the big nasty stuff so it kind of acts like a sanitizer but the water is fine since the molecules are smol
The charcoal actually has tiny little holes in its surface area and it adsorbs its not absorb, so the bacteria and bits go in the holes.
Next mans gunna make a frikin house defense system out of lego
Wow you are very good with your Lego's maybe you could try again??
I love this guy!
Im liking your videos can you make some more
This is awesome
how long does it take to clean up all the lego after?
I love it
Watching you cut pieces from the old Mars Mission sets was painful.
Thats awesome
great vid!
Now that's epic!
I like how every video description says LEGO all capital
Lol that was hilarious
Nice, now I have an unlimited source of purified water :DDD (from random Carribean island)
Thank you for the like my guy, jokes aside, keep up the work man, you have some really creative LEGO ideas that i never really see any other channel have. Thank a lot :D
This guy would be a really cool science teacher
My science teacher looks depressed
My science teacher throws magnets at our heads
But he would be my teacher
Yup
Ya
My man made a filter for water with Lego
would work if u used coffie filters with the design
This guy is drinking sand😂
your so entertaining
This was good video
you have to crush the charcoal to a very fine powder
That's incredible so are you a lego designer cause you build amazing lego sets
I am cleaning lego with water. You are cleaning water with lego XD
me: please don't take a sip of that water!
him: *chugs it*
me:😳🤢😵
It’s just like drinking choccy milk
Cool And So cool
You are the bravest person I've ever seen.......Drinking dirt water is so disgusting......
nice video :D i'm using a computer
You should make a video where Minecraft youtubers control what you build
I don't want to drink ground water. Makes homemade ground water. Hmmm
Charcoal has holes, so it's pourus. Dirty stuff goes inro the holes to filter it.
We’re getting malaria with this one 💯💯💯💯💯
you should make a golf putting green!!
Good luck with it
To do this properly you would need to cause some coagulation and and do some other filters for a long time. This was a brave attempt, but please do not gather random soil and try to filter it. It won't be clean and could give you some nasty diseases or worse.
I dare you to make a Nerf gun But made out of Lego And by the way make it out of Lego please I wanna see what it looks like
safe is my name and you said safe!
Very brave!
The second filter water looks like coffee..
It might taste like coffee
But with dirt and leaf flavour
Boiled to perfection
You should build a lego blender for it to try and take out more
Coouldnt you make it wear you juzt pour it in the top and it filters it all in one go? Like ik it will be long and tall but it would be so much easirer
why didnt u link them all up with the tubes? and use gravity to move the fluid
