    You are spot on .These are superb guitars !! Bought the purple 3 days ago .Absolute love it !! I like the simple-ness of the guitar .Plays perfect and looks perfect .The problem is [like you ] i want another for drop tuning and one for standard and after looking i was kind of thinking silver but after looking at videos and yours in particular , i have to go gold !!

    Awesome guitar. I was wondering if it could do more than just 80s glam metal, and this video proves it. Plus it looks like a modern baretta.

    On Sweetwater they call them "headstock inlays" cuz they're the shape of the headstock I guess. I've heard them called shark fin inlays.

    I played a silver one of these guys at my local guitar center. I almost walked out the door with it, but I had a Kiesel on order (which has since arrived). I thought it was great for the price!

    My only gripe is having the output jack coming down like that rather than at an angle, I feel it would get in the way playing classical style.

    How does the finish feel on the back of the neck? Is it super plasticky like the Epiphones? How does it feel vs the ESP M1? I'm debating between the purple Kramer and the crackle M1, but can't find any locally to try.

    • @theguitargrappler9352
      @theguitargrappler9352  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They both feel similar to me. Standard painted necks. The biggest different is that the Kramer has a fatter neck than the ESP. The ebony fretboard on the Kramer is also much nicer than the Massacre Ebony fretboard on the M1 imo. I also feel like the Kramers are very light. Not that the ESP is heavy. Just something about the all Mahogany guitar that makes it light. Both are amazing and there’s no wrong answer.

      I have the SM1 ssh and it’s better suited for modern metal than most Jackson soloists and ESP’s I tried before buying it. The Seymour’s, Floyd and really slim neck are amazing. Love my guitar, totally worth it.

    Aren’t ESP essentially Kramers because Kramer used ESP bodies and when Kramer disappeared ESP continued making the same instruments?

    • @theguitargrappler9352
      @theguitargrappler9352  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I believe that Kramer made guitars before ESP did, but in the mid to late 80s, ESP made a lot of the high end Kramers. This is why these Stagemasters and the ESP Horizons are so similar. Check out my Barrington on my channel. It’s another late 80s guitar that was made by ESP that looks like a mix between a Kramer and ESP. It’s a beast of a guitar just like all of these.

    • @theuserthatishere
      @theuserthatishere 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      esp made a lot of kramers in the 80s because kramer could not keep up with demand. esp guitar with kramer logo. great imo because true u.s. made kramers had wide necks most folks don't like. if a kramer says "american" on the head stock or "made in jersey" on the neck plate it is usually esp made.

    The only thing I didn't like about this guitar is that neck is pretty thick man. Which I don't mind at all but just thicker than usual. Could have been the setup on it throwing me off etc who knows. Aside from that they're kickass man.

    • @theguitargrappler9352

      That was the first thing I thought after I finished recording lol. I forgot to mention that the neck is thick. You are 100% correct, especially compared to my ESP's and Jacksons. I do actually like the feel of the neck though. I really dislike thin necks and I know a lot of people feel the thinner the better. All comes down to personal preference.
