In LA it’s crazy… the studio spaces I’ve seen that were open are slowly becoming outta use. Plus the home studio has taken over. There’s no time limit and you can get it done faster.
Ive been a small studio owner since 1999 and the passion for me has died due to the talent pool and attitudes most new artist i record are just doing it for the rewards and trinkets they lack any passion for the art, in my humble opinion the work thats required to be a good artist they are not willing to invest time or money. the bots have taken over in everything.
What is your point. Sounds like a bunch of excuses. “If your successful it’s because your privileged or taking from the people” maybe some people don’t allow circumstances to become a mental barrier to what they want. Maybe some of us see these hard times as challenges and an opportunity to grow and evolve our approach in business and mind. I’m sorry if I’m missing your point, you’re well spoken but scattered. You seem to have Marxist or communist ideology, just judging off of this brief introduction to your content. This little community your trying to organize to “creat opportunity”. What opportunities? The opportunity to be broke together? Cause clearly you despise not just capitalism but commerce, everyone has “borrowed” money, that’s the point of currency, to cycle and flow. Y’all gonna mix each others music for free, trade beats, so you can make music for the art, until somebody throws one of you a giant bag of money and your realise no one would rather WILLINGLY live in a cardboard box? Help me understand.
Big studios are closing. Little tiny ones pop up daily. People can now afford to record themselves. A few videos lessons on the Internet and they are off and running . 😁
Artist are not seeing any return on their investment and are looking for a cheaper way to record.. and sound quality isn't as important because people what people are listening to music on .. as long as it's "loud" most artist think good !!!

You can choose the talent you work with.
