Okay! I just watched the recent winners practice blog... it’s fast and you have to look closely... but you are correct... I see them on the deck and in the rod locker....
Thanks! That helps!! Question: handling recreational boat traffic and the jackasses driving said boats... I swear I saw one towing a tuber around at 10pm..
When fishing brush piles do u throw on the side of the brush? It would look like to me if u come in the middle of the brush you'd get hung up constantly
@@JohnCrews Thank you, sir. One more question if you have time at all. Do you peg your sinker when fishing texas rig through a brush pile? I was just rigging a little John 70 and a ribbon tail worm to fish brush piles in a couple of days when I saw a notification for this video. The timing could not have been better. Thank you.
Why a ribbon tailed worm verses a bug or creature bait? Wouldn't the tail on the worm get caught on the small branches constantly? Also, I sure wouldn't be throwing that exposed hook swimbait through cover. It'll be gone the first cast and the spot ruined. One last point on the comment about Southern lakes/ponds with grass and brush piles; I'd have to disagree with you there; brush is a big factor. In the Summer, when the Sun is blazing and the grass is tall, we would never, ever bypass a brush pile. The thicker it is, the better.
@@JohnCrews @ 03:12 you're holding a standard swimbait head with a Keitech trailer in your right hand. This may lead others to think that it's something you would throw into cover.
LeatherNeck 1833 I have caught them on that one with no weed guard. I use it for throwing above the piles fir those suspenders. I used that one at Eufaula. Not a top 5 bait for piles but something else to try
@@JohnCrews Ok, yeah I guess if it's deeper water. I default to shallow(er) water when thinking of brush piles. I did enjoy the info BTW. Wasn't trying to be argumentative (if it came across that way).
The last couple videos has been awsome to watch. Keep up the good work.
There couldn't be better timing for this video haha thanks bro!
Thank you for being honest on the crank bait depths. Most try to stretch it a little. Enjoy you videos.
Didnt know there was a brush pile season! Now i know, keep the info coming!
Thanks for the information on throwing baits on deep brush piles.😎😷
Yes sir!!!!
Love the channel brother. Keep up the great work
Thanks John.
That new color(hillbilly magic) looks awesome. Can't wait to get some of that color.

I think it helps brush piles. Puts fish tighter to them.
Dude that shirt is awesome! Plus hillbilly magic looks great!
For the ribbon tail worm and brush piles, are you swimming the worm thru the brush piles?
Hey man where bass are now as in out deep? Will they be at the same spot come winter?
Little different
Hey John! What’s the best bait to fish grass? I fish Carvins cove alot
Depends on the type of grass

Hello John, do you usually fish that quiver worm shallow or deep?

It can get hung up or get bit too
@@JohnCrews alright thanks
How fast do you reel a deep crank through a brush pile?
As fast as you can and not get hung up

The slim worm dies best in summer but trying different Baits is great. The swim bait head has a weed guard.
