This was the end of an era for us, but the start of so many new beginnings. Retiring from competition was a very scary thought. Wondering if it would impact our careers, change people’s perception of what our future plans were, etc. When this song came around it spoke to us, causing us to throw out the current piece we were working on in the first week of October, and change gears. Being a little over a month away from our world championships, the timing was stressful, but the choreography flowed in a way like no other routine, and we knew this was the right decision.

Just went down the rabbit hole of seeing a clip of you guys, to researching your entire bios, to crying at this performance knowing it was your last competition. Truly a gift to watch you perform.

A friend of mine who does West Coast Swing showed me this video. I'm not a dancer, but I keep coming back here just to watch the absolute artistry and raw emotions that were put into this performance. Absolutely beautiful.

The best WCS couple in history! So impressive.
I think the fact they had a relationship that lasted a few years allowed their intimacy in their dancing to shine. This was by far their best performance.
The connections is unmatched by any other. Watching you hit every note and and the smile when you did is just glorious- beautiful.
I remember when this was performed I was at US Open watch party, and we all were stunned by the message... and wonder what it all meant! Glad for the artistic freedom you have now!
