As Journey is my all time favorite game I cant wait to try this. Thanks IGP for bringing this to my attention.
Paused the video after 5 minutes. Bought it instantly, spent the whole night playing through it.
Most beautiful game i've ever played. Period.
Now watching your lets play just to see someone else experience it too.
The way the schools of fish move and the animations of the larger fish are just so spot on realistic that when you for the first time see one of those huge donut shaped schools of fish swirling around, it just triggers something in your brain that immediately believes the entire scene is real. Just because of how realistic their collective motion is and their reaction as they scatter to predators.
And the way every single piece of grass or foliage bends to all other entities in the scene, even the individual leaves on the stalks bend individually.
Funny how a "little indie game" has some of the most revolutionary amazing animations, horde physics and soft body animations than any other multi-million dollar AAA game has ever not even come close to replicate.
Shows that talent is what makes amazing things happen, not money.
This game is the goat like...next level shit. How did they pull off this rendering with no load times and seamless transitions all at 60 fps? We'll never know. Extremely beautiful

Seeing pewdiepie and jacksepticeye and others fucking scream their way through the entire experience trying to be "FUNNEH" is an utter disgrace to what experience the game tries to provide.

+Baleur I'm an art history major specializing in the ancient world who almost went into oceanography, and this game was a freaking valentine to me on an intellectual and aesthetic level. But I watched Jack's play through and I had just as much fun watching how much _he_ loved it and how much fun he had. Different reactions aren't better or worse; a game like this should be loved, regardless of the different reasons people find to love it. In fact, Jack's play through had my favorite reaction to this game on video: open mouthed, ecstatic, childish awe at jumping with the orca whales. He's so genuinely joyful and awed by the entire game.
Abzu is about getting in touch with humanity's instinctual love and respect for the ocean and its life. I haven't watched the other let's plays, but I can't see why you would think Jack having fun would be disgraceful - is such a reaction not _exactly_ what this game was made for?
(And to be honest, there's very little difference in what Jack and IGP actually say, so your comment is not only derogatory, but also confusing).
I like how you help small companies by promoting them and their games. I think it'll help a lot of people! I'm excited for this video

Humans created Abzû (that's what I'm calling the robot you play as) to explore the oceans, but Abzû became obsolete when they created suits for them but humans were wiped out by a unknown force. Then Abzû woke up from a mysterious refueling and used its previous goal and continued exploring using the EBs as help to explore.
I bought this game recently and its so chill to play through. My favorite thing is jumping out the water and seeing other fish like dolphins and orcas follow right behind me

Am I missing something? The graphical beauty isn't really all the reviews claim, the music sounds like something out of a JRPG, and the physics aren't convincing at all. It looked more like a space sim than a diving sim. I guess I don't understand the hype behind it. To each his own though.
