Also hoping to see other teleports in the future other than pipes, or at the very least maybe different color pipes (sold as separate items, not customize options) and they can only warp to pipes of the same color, rather than having 10 green pipes and it being entirely random where you end up, you could have one set of green, one set of red, etc. In any case, all of these ideas are super cute, I didn't even realize you could put decorations on top of the floating blocks and putting a butterfly model on there is pretty cute!
I'm a HUGE Mario fan, so I'm completely fine with the way these items look on their own, and I'm excited to create my own Mario courses in Animal Crossing! But these were great ideas for people who don't like Mario as much as I do, or just don't want their island to be Mario themed. Thanks for the great ideas!
Imagine using the floating blocks to put the butterfly models above the trees 🥺 perfect for more dynamic natural areas. And the mushroom platforms are perfect for adding diversity to mushroom forest type builds, shape and colour wise.
I bet people are going to make rooms outside with the floating blocks like use them as a roof and use simple panels or something as walls bc you can still walk under them
Someone made a video about making a "cave" with the blocks. Havent seen it yet, but i was thinking that could be a cute way to make a small reading nook on the island.
I honestly think the floating blocks are the MVP items in this Mario update; I've already seen some crazy and unique builds using them from Japanese players on Twitter. I can't wait to come home and use them to enclose some of my buildings and make arches! Thanks for sharing your ideas!

One trick I'm using to add more variety to my foresty island is to place around the 1-up mushrooms & super mushrooms and face them away, so they look like regular green and red mushrooms :) obviously a bit cartoony, but they're ok when blended within other stuff ✨

My island really doesn’t have an aesthetic just areas that I like to put stuff. I’m only just now figuring out how to design and make stuff cute and cohesive after about 250 hrs. Thanks so much these are great ideas and I’m so excited to use the one for the tunnels because I’ve been struggling on how to make them look nice in my environment 😸

a couple ideas come to mind: • round a one-room house with cliffs and use the volcano flooring and wallpaper on the inside • phoebe's house uses these iirc, and as a villager house it's smaller, but you would lose the freedom to go in there whenever you want. fun theming, though • create a "mountain" out of cliffs, leaving the middle hollow. place lava-textured custom designs in the divot for anyone looking down, brick ovens for smoke, and maybe floor lights or the red cute lamps for some glow at night? • you can't get on the fourth level without using a glitch, but a red-light hot tub might look convincing at the top, if the hollow approach doesn't pan out? • custom design simple panels ringing the cliffs for more of a "scorched earth" look • rocks. just chuck 'em everywhere. the tall garden rock feels the most volcano-y to me, but the whole garden rock set is probably applicable. good luck, and kudos on the concept!
So glad you posted this! I have super not been sold on the way people have been visibly integrating the blocks into their aesthetics and saying it works because to me the cartoony style clashes. So I thought I wasn't going to have any use for these items. I love the way you've integrated them and I think I might try to use some blocks on the far back edge of my island behind buildings and trees.

The pipe is a great way to overcome the incline and bridge limit. I'm currently building a third-tier part of my island that's only accessible by pipe. I'm SO GLAD that this item exists! Also I didn't know you could put things on the floating blocks, that is SO COOL! I'm also happy about the mushrooms - more things to add to the dreamcore area of my island! Actually a lot of the Mario stuff would fit in my dreamcore area

I put one pipe behind my house (directly behind it where you can't see it due to the camera angle) and keep the other in my pocket. That way it's hidden and I can go back to my house from anywhere on my island.

You could probably build a some cool red-brick buildings with the blocks. Using the simple panels with a custom design, the red phone boxe, and the red-brick path. It matches it perfectly.

The one thing I really wished they change is how you can move items outside. I wished it was like how you can arrange the items in your house. To me it's weird having two different methods. I'd love to hear what kind of improvements you think could make the game better for players. More bag space? More amiibo functionality (like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)? Bigger Nook's Cranny with more furniture? Bigger island? More "quests" to do for villagers? Cooking?
