I think there are three types of bodies. One is of this world and corruptible. In heaven we have a heavenly body. At the resurrection, at the second coming (1 Thes 4:13-17), we receive an earthly, incorruptible, glorified body. When we die before the pre-trib rapture we receive a heavenly body in heaven. The same process happens at the pre-trib rapture (Matthew 24:28, Luke 17:37). I doubt 1 Thes 4 is a the pre-trib rapture because those in heaven do not need a glorified earthly body at that time.
Many preachers today have the same message about this new teaching. Not one of them has spoke of those writings that all must die for the wages of sin is death. I thought the Bible does not contradict itself. All the way from Adam, Abraham, Moses, the Prophets, The Lord God Mighty Jesus including His disciples and today's believers who are dying for their faith in Jesus. I have said it before but get no response. YET. In the twinkling of an eye we will be changed. Well, what about the one or many believers who dies the twinkling of an eye before this rapture. Perhaps they might say, 'well, their death was their rapture.' So...we all know people have died and since the beginning millions and millions have died. How many have been caught up since the beginning. You do the math. They prepare you for the rapture but Jesus said there will be persecution.
