This people work very hard and in dangerous conditions,but why at least wear shoes instead of sandels and long sleeves and loose clothing on lathes.We are saying just simple things for safety,they are inteligent enough to know this.I was a machinist for 25 years in machine shops and on site and you would not dare walk in the shipyards without safety shoes or you will be fired from work.😮
Very low grade engine oil will not work as a lubricant for the moving parts for very long. You need grease, and to pack the bearings with grease as well so everything is properly lubricated. Otherwise you will get metal fatique and wear and tear on the bearings and other moving pieces very fast.
