    Hi, at the beginning of the hara diagnosis you had only one hand in contact with the patient, I thought one of the shiatsu principles is to always have both hands in touch with the person. Please advise

      Hi Khaled - hey sorry for the delay in answering. When diagnosing from the Hara we can assess the energy of each area with one hand. The principle of 2 hands comes from Masunaga - and yes you are right - when we test for Kyo and Jitsu we do use two hands. Interestingly Pauline Sasaki in her late development of the work went back to using one hand sometimes and contacting just one meridian - the dominant meridian in the diagnosis - she called this "monadic" working.
