**this is not financial advice, just my experience running an online business.
Thanks for watching and it’s my hope that this information can help you reach whatever goals you have in 2025. Also quick editing note, at 11:51 I said “2024” and meant to say “2023” which was the year I launched this book.
❤
DUDE!! massively appreciate the transparency. EXTREMELY refreshing, and completely agree with everything you're saying.
I respect the self awareness of this video. I’m not finished yet but I like how you’re not making online business sound like simple easy magic
Thanks. That was my goal here
You are running the exact same business model that I’m dreaming about everyday. I would love to do what you’re doing and I’m trying to chase after it every chance I get. You are an inspiration.
Took the words right out of my mouth!
TH-cam photographers make 99% of their money with TH-cam. It’s simple people.
Great video! Love your approach, honest, genuine, frank, measuredly inspiring. Loved the acknowledgment that no one talks about the amount of time and experience spent in building the systems.
And after videos like these I realize I will never make it as a photographer. Tough most people like my work, and everyone is telling me I should do this as a profession, I don't have a knack for running a business. It's complicated for me, I can only make pictures but no idea how to promote myself and tbh it's too much of a hassle. Good info tho.
Some people aren’t built for running a business without a great mentor, accountant, lawyer, etc and a willingness to be ok with anxiety about the future. That’s ok! Be the best employee, manager, or right hand man you can be. Try to get in a position where you can be rewarded for sales or growth. A percentage of someone else’s business can be more lucrative than running the business. Find your place, carve out a way to make extra, and work on yourself.
Do you want to own your own photography business full-time or just prefer to keep it as a hobby and side hustle to make some extra money from time to time? Nothing wrong with that of course 😁 great options either way
Incredibly thorough. Thank you Evan and congrats on the book launch success.
👀 The transparency is much appreciated, Evan!! The whole series of videos leading up to this video has created a content loop of value for the viewers; all while really adding an additional stream of income through social media (TH-cam revenue). That's a good system, Ingenious bro. 👏🏾
finally someone said it out loud! thank you for this video Evan
Perfect timing. Been helping me with my photobooks since I released my first one in 2021 and this was super helpful for my next one. Much appreciated!
Awesome video. So great so see someone show that it takes hard work planning and great execution of the plan to be successful. Congratulations on the successful book launch
Filmmaker here and really appreciate the transparency of this video. Got me thinking :)
Such an informative video, Evan. Thank you. I have a following on Facebook of 115k and Facebook invited me to monetize my photography (plus a few simple videos a month) page in January 2024. I've been considering going to the next step by launching a book and your strategy is invaluable.
My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. With Magnolia Angel, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year.
Magnolia has normalized winning trades for me and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started.
Magnolia's analyses go beyond surface-level trends. She delves into technical, fundamental, and sentiment analysis, providing a holistic view of the market
I’m new at this, how can I reach her?
She is all about simple technique that are highly profitable, I really admire her winning mentality.

Great video! Thanks 💜
Really nice and informative video, thanks alot.
I made a video about picking a "guru" and one on balancing cost and benefit and recognizing "cost". One day I hope to make good videos but that takes practice. I never expect to make money with my photography but I have found that most of your advice works with my personality/mindset. That is the most important part.
Means a lot! I always get nervous publishing videos like this because it’s easy for people to misinterpret them. But my goal is to make something different from what’s already out there. So I really appreciate the kind words 🙏
Thanks for saying the thing about the ever revolving pyramid of influencers teaching a course
Love it - so helpful. Thank you Evan! Can I ask a quick question? I also have a Z8. What settings are you using when videoing yourself?
I remember a few years ago you made a video telling us how you started making triple figures a year. Thank you for following through once your business model evolved.
Haven't watched yohr videos in awhile and i must say i like your approach when it comes to structure and organization in your book.
By the way ive joined the media team (college) and I'll be volunteering to snap photos on campus events, sports, and activities. I bought a Kodak AZ528 and a Casio Ex-F1 (comming Monday). I can't wait to practice on both and ibwas consodering making a photobook for the Spring semester since I'm in business management.
That’s awesome! I made my first book in 2016 and just sold it to friends and family. It’s a fun experience to create a body of work and hold it in your hands
@@RanftEvan once I take those photos I'll compile them and organize them and I'm naming the book "Genesis." FYI: I name my Kodak (Midnight Star and My Casio Ex-F1 The Gallant) I thought I can add flair so I can be well known on campus. Question how does one become a legendary photographer?
Could u break down a tax video. Also how is your running going?
The best is back 💪💪💪💪 greetings from italy 🤌🤌🤌
Thank you for your videos
The commercials 😂
No idea why, but I got to minute four and I thought... hang on... I'm at the end of a forty year photography career and I am just spending a bit of time making what I hope will be a few youtube videos because I hope someone out there will benefit from learning about how I work, how I see the world, how I photograph it. I'm not interested in subscribers or likes or sponsors, it's just time for me to put back something into an industry that for decades allowed me a very pleasant, travel heavy life. I hope just one person gets inspired, that's worth $50K to me.
...and then I carried on watching because, let's face it, you're pretty compelling!
The biggest thing with a lot of these revenue generating activities is being popular or having some type of visibility on social media
video was really quite, check audio settings for future uploads. 1 min in, looking forward the value from this video :)
I need to make 1K a month next year. Then 2k the following. 10k in year 3 and moving to 70k by year 5. That’s the end goal. That keeps me comfortable and lets me travel.
What's your plan to do so? Short term goals and long term goals?

I can take it any more I can believe I just watched all this
I'm trying to get into the business and value your info, but bonking your hands on the table next to the mic keeps sending my subwoofer aflutter 😅
Kool!
Sounds like embellishing I usually divide the amount claimed by 2😂
The one negative thing about this very valuable content is this ranting with ever a pause. With no breathing it quickly becomes undigestible.
Is this fear of loosing the "attention" or what is it?
Photo book
Who and why is buying the hard copy book of photos? What's point?
heck yea ima be rich boiiiiiii 😎😎😎😎😎🤙🤙🤙🤙
Edit: nvm too much stuff and lazy
Grabbing $50K like Evan is not easy, but a well-crafted email pitch can be your best friend. I have been on Mystrika for over 5 months and it streamlined my cold email campaign like never before. The provider matching and tag management save so much time. Their warmup process, especially in Spanish and French, ensures no email gets lost. If you are still on the fence, their fantastic free masterclass might just tip the scales for you.
that 50k is not what he grabbed ;) that’s his goal when he finally sell all 5-10k copies he had to order to get printout for $ 70 add margin of 9,99 and then sell… he will get it in 2050 ;) that’s the harsh reality - sorry but these videos are here to sell all his other merch…
