So interesting and informative. Day trips are thee best wow
So glad you found informative! They are so easy but also so rewarding 😀
What type of car would you recommend on the trails at the national park ?
I'm heading to Addo in a few weeks and this was really helpful... looking forward to picking up a guide for our tour, hadn't known it was an option before your video so thank you.
So happy to hear that! I hope you have a good time x
Thank you so much for this wonderful video... I'm a Hop-on Guide in Addo and this is sooo NICE🕺❤
You guys are the best!
Hello Thembi
Great video! We're planning a visit soon and I just wanted to double check some prices.
The national park advised that for a self drive, its just the conservation fee per person, but you mentioned a fee for the car too?
Please can you confirm.
Thank you for the information! Did not know a hop on guide was an option so helpful! Can the hop on guide be booked before or only ask when you arrive? Can you buy your entry ticket for Addo elephant park before going? I have tried emailing and looking online and I did not see these options.
Great JOB!!! I know you did this video 3 years ago but, we will be in Port Elizabeth on the 28th any recommendations?
We went in March 2023. Definitely do Addo, we went in at the Addo gate and out at Colchester. You don't need a 4x4, any hire car will do 🙂. Kragga Kamma is also worth going to if you have time. For anyone driving along the Garden Route, stop at Knysna for the wolf sanctuary and Elephant Rescue.
How to book a guide to hop in our car. Can you provide where to book them and whether we can use our rented car for the safari
Also you were talking about private game reserves. Are there any in Kruger area where you could go just for day visit
Great video. Could you please link the information for the hop on guide 🙏
Great video, what month were you there?
So informative!!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi tembi! thanks for you information, can you tell me if it's necessary to have a 4x4 car to visit Addo or if it's also fine with a smaller car? Thanks a lot!
Hi Claudia, you def dont need a 4x4. I went with a small car and it was totally okay - they have actually cement roads most of the time so its okay. Enjoy!!
When the big elephant flapped its ears I had such a fright!
Anele seems so kind, are you allowed to tip the guides personally or is there a collection bank at reception?
It seems easy to get up close but its actually a bit scary! Yeah you pay and tip the guides yourself, that way you can be sure they get what they deserve🙌
Useful. Good girl! Thumbs up
Thank you so much😀
Hay there. Have you ever done the "die venster" at hankey? It looks so cool to do.
I havent. I just googled it and it look so cool! I need to give it a go.
Ahh man Addo was my entire childhood we used to go there so much 😭😻
Same here! I dont think I'll ever get over it 😍
So informative❤️
Thats always the goal! So glad you think so x
There is a closer gate.
That gate is by colechester..yes. I prefer starting at the Addo gate and driving through the whole park and then out at that gate :)
looks boring
Then you shouldnt go :)
Do they still offer you to ride Elephants at Addo Elephant Park or have they stopped doing that ? I am thinking of going and I just want to know if I can ride elephnats there ? If not is there any other place in south africa where you can ride elephants ?
They stopped doing that, im not sure where else this can be done xx
