      @@LatysGarage haha no worries. I think it depends on brand of gasket yeah or any? i'll probably just get all new as i'll probably shave the heads.

      Yeah I got a new gasket when I pulled one of my heads off. Didn’t want to tear it down again if an old one failed.
      Reason I had the head off was bcse I seared off a extractor bolt when putting pacemakers on. Did the ‘easy out’ thing to try to get the bolt out of the head and drilled into the coolant gallery. So took the head to the shop and had it repaired n machined.
      Never done any work like this before. All my research was online and I got the full engine factory service manual for free from the states. Still have it if you want a copy.
      Ta for the vids. I know they take time to do.

    Nice video cam stuff.? You need new lifter trays the lifters turn at hi RPM or better valve springs

  • @bigal878
    @bigal878 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Make you replace the lifter buckets.

    Where they LS7 lifters that you removed?
    Possibly Chinese copies?

      Mathew Azzopardi I’m not 100% sure what lifters came out but I put genuine gm ls7 lifters back in

      No Matthew LS7 Lifters have an enclosed roller these lifters have exposed rollers. The enclosed rollers Is what makes the LS7 lifters strong and the sought after Lifter In Gen 3 and 4 LS Engines

    So funny really, people buy the best items to do up their engine and yet due to mass production and basic quality control, so many parts go through and thus end up costing you more then a new engine build? Maybe people who build engines should make sure they have the contacts to make sure every component which is going to be changed is totally blue printed and tested via x ray and sonic frequency checks to make sure those products pass the manufacturer's own strict quality control ? Keep up the great work champ and also how many KMs did that engine do after the build up of it? So turbo and engine mods to make it that little bit stronger to have it last ?

      7071t6 the engine would of been lucky to have done 5000k but it was a hard trip the previous owner loved the limiter and I’m thinking that also contributed to the lifters
