Got into this show recently. Really like the analysis. It is snappy and informative. Rory has a really good skill of the overview. I really like the balance between domestic politics and geopolitics. I think Rory is a good fit for Alistair. I like the counterbalance it provides. Keep up the good work!

tds, hillary started the birther rumour for obama's kenyan birth, and it had merit.
Trump already gave his taxes, already took a cognitive test (that biden was never pressured to take despite numerous speaking issues since before his candidacy as well as pre-existing strokes). It's not hypocritical for right wingers to want to pay as little tax as legally possible, because they want a reduced state size and reduced welfare, for left wingers the ultra wealthy should be actively overpaying taxes to fund their pet projects, if they aren't grifters.

As a Venezuelan living in the UK, voting on Sunday in the venezuelan consulate, thank you for bringing attention to the political situation in the country and saying plainly it will be down to the international community does about it. But truer words have never been said about Venezuela as Rory said "Things are never so bad that they cant get worse" - We know the government doesn't have the votes but they have everything else - the judges, the military, the control of all the oil and services - they are desperate and can do anything it takes to keep that control. For years, they have killed protestors so they have no problem killing, venezuelans have lived for years without water, electricity and food - but it CAN get worse and I fear for my family. So, thank you for bringing this up and raising awareness and finishing with words of hope that made me cry, hoping that my country will "get back on a sensible path". The only thing I will add is that witnesses from EU for example, have been refused to enter the country to see the election process, so there isn't external witnesses from other countries...

I'm a Yank living in the UK and I agree wholeheartedly. Also, I feel that Obama's being elected resulted in Trump's presidency. Obama's victory galvanized the bigoted, backward, least educated segment of America, who resented to its core that an "uppity" black man and his family occupied the White House. I can only hope that Harris and whomever she chooses as a running mate have a genuine shot at the White House. Otherwise, the country is lost.

The irony of the `separation of church and state' in the US is the dramatic influence of `faith'. Race and faith (and misogyny), all play more strongly here than in the UK (ex-pat). That `liberal' is used as a pejorative speaks volumes also.
However, I believe that MAGA is a loud minority and the majority of Republicans let alone voters as a whole, do believe in the rule of law and will think twice about voting for a felon provided that it isn't seen as an `irrelevant' ruling by a liberal NY court. This election isn't about being `optimal', this is about `running faster than the other lion tamer', surely all she has to do is to present herself as the sane and predictable alternative. That shouldn't be difficult.
