Your aesthetics and storytelling is really soft, soothing and engaging and at the same time, focused, straight to the point and informative. I am so curious and excited for what you will create next. Tips on getting the reach you have mentioned in the end of the video would be very interesting. Also, maybe breaking down stages of film making into separate videos? Anything that can make us feel like a "fly on the wall" and help us understand the creative process better. Thanks again. I really enjoyed watching this.

Hi Emily! the part that I found most valuable was the pre-production process, where you had min-chats with potential people you would cast. I didn't realize all the thought that had to go into the film before it was made!! I'm only a high schooler but you made me think a lot about documentary filmmaking as a career.

Hi Thomas! Thanks for your comment :) I'm so glad you feel encouraged! I think it's a great question, I'll add it to my list! One thing I would say is that it's great in initial conversations with the client to be really clear about the timeline and what the process will look like on your end. hese deliverables were also decided based on a conversation about what they actually needed. It's definitely part of the job to educate them on what the process is like so you can nurture a successful collaboration and ultimately reach their goals. I hope to catch you on the next video at the start of September :)

Very informative! The pre production is probably one of the most seemingly daunting aspect of the final product (and probably the least popular on TH-cam) but I'd love to see more of these pre talks with interviewees.😊
