I just love your videos, and I think you and I have very similar channels. It's not every day you run into other blind individuals who shares similar perspectives and a positive attitude towards blindness. By the way, I also enjoy fashion and as you just saw in this video, makeup. I'm a blogger on Facebook at "through the eyes of joy", and I'm pursuing my hearts desire as a motivational and inspirational speaker. I would love to possibly in the future collaborate with you in a video. Seriously, my girls have seen some of your videos and they're like, oh my goodness mom, you and Molly would so get along. Oh, and my husband? Yes, he is one-of-a-kind and truly my Prince Charming!! Funny story, after we were first married George took me shopping for new makeup at the Chanel counter at Nordstrom's. Since George was just learning how to apply my makeup, and was still interested in getting some tips and advice from professionals, that day one of the Chanel cells associates Applied I makeup to one of my eyes, and then had George apply the same look to the other eye. Because George did so incredible, they were like, "oh my goodness, would you like a job here?" Of course George took that as a complement and we still talk about that funny moment to this day. This is just shocking...and to think that u didnt even need an ounce of makeup to begin with bc u are so naturally beautiful, but u did a full face of makeup without being able to see anything u are doing with your eyes.THis is just mindblowing to me! You need to TEACH sighted ppl how tp apply makeup!!! Beautiful lady...u didnt even need any makeup!!!

Some of your tricks my grandmother would use with rubber bands or her special way of marking things so she knew what was what. She had Macular degeneration for many years. Would be really cool to have a maybe a Facebook group, where people who are blind or partially sighted, could post videos and pictures and other people who love makeup, could comment back on how it looks. And give tips and advice. Lots of people are on social media all day and would be great and empowering, helping out all the ladies (and men) out there, who want to check how they look. Even though your makeup looks fabulous with no help!
hi joy. Yes, i use the same eye liner you use when applying my make up. I also just stick to blush and eye shadow just to keep things simple for me before i walk out the door. I'm glad you and I both like wearing make up. Isn't that awesome?

The way you have described it in this video, it has really helped me. I am into fashion a lot and determined to learn new things. I tried using the makeup products twice this week for the first time before I found your video and I found it very difficult to do it. Now I think after seeing your video it helped me a lot. You should use less orangey toned concealer. Even if you dont have a line, your neck and face are two different colors. Other than that! You're kicking ass, Joy!

Do your prosthetic eyes hurt or feel uncomfortable? I’m an amputee who relies on prosthetics and its a constant tightness is the best way I can describe it.
Just unreal!! There are so many ppl who HAVE perfect eyesight and CANNOT apply makeup to save their lives!! You should be a makeup artist!!! Btw..u are gorgeous even without makeup!!!
Hi Joy. Having just spent the best part of an afternoon watching your videos and I've got to admit they are good, even the ones you have shot out on your own. One very small point, could we see more of where you are going, rather then the floor or pavement? Is there anything you're not game to try? Having done numerous shopping trips with my blind friends I can fully sympathise with your in store experiences. What does get me is when the sales assistant looks at me as if I'm doing the purchase, which I'm not. I then tend to admire the floor or the ceiling or move away to break the eye contact. Some assistants are switched on and others far from it. "You're wasting your time pointing, she can't see" I've often thought of saying. Being blind is easy to replicate for a sighted person, just close your eyes and see how long before the temptation to open them is. I've tried it and it does not last more than a minute or two.

No they’re not uncomfortable, only when my natural eyes are dry or irritated. If I’ve had them in for extremely long time, then my eyes get tired.
