- I stayed at a luxury hotel on the shores of Lake Toya [The Lake Suite Kono Sumika], so a detailed report.
This hotel opened in August 2019 by renovating the annex of "Sun Palace", which is famous for the commercial of "Here is a bath amusement park" familiar to Hokkaido horses.
This is a high-class hotel with an open-air hot spring bath in all rooms. It is connected to the Sun Palace by a connecting passage, and you can also use bars, shops, pools, hot springs, etc. Those who choose Viking for meals go to Sun Palace to eat. We had a Japanese kaiseki meal at the water terrace dining [The Toya] in the lake.
The lobby and hot springs are wonderful here. The lobby basin and open-air bath integrated with Lake Toya. The feeling of infinity is not odd.
The lounge is free from 15:00 to 18:00, so you can drink beer and soft drinks as much as you want. There were also delicious snacks.

湖の栖はお部屋も機能的で良いですよね
昨年11月末に初宿泊し、主様と同じ懐石朝膳で予想よりお料理が美味しくて
これはアカムツ様に報告せねば。と思っていたところ
さすがは主様 抜かりはありませんね＾＾
10月までの花火が終わった11月に懐石プラン２名でなんと４万円台で予約して
その後11月まで花火の延長発表で倍近くに値上がりし、お得で嬉しいけれど何だか申し訳なくて
チェックイン時に、勝手にこっそり肩身の狭い思いしちゃいました（アホの小市民）
花火最終日だったので宿泊者も多く皆さん大盛り上がりでした
こんな風にいつも賑わう日々に早く戻ればいいですね
その時とは違う冬メニューを見れてとても感謝です
４月から経営は変わりますが、素敵なお宿のままでいて欲しいです

とても良いホテルなので経営が変わって、今まで以上に良くなることを期待したいですね。しばらく福岡編が続きますがその後北海道に戻りますのでご期待ください。出来れば福岡の宿もとても良いので見てくださいね。
