The Darkest Hour

A subject that we all have experienced, depression. Our focus for this video is to explain how to handle depression and take notice of all the signs that a person is dealing with depression. We both reflect on the darkest time in our life throughout this video and explained how we dealt with our depression then, versus how we deal with it now.

In the song "Small World" by Mac Miller, he starts off by saying "the world so small 'til it ain't..." and coming from a person that has dealt with depression and curbed it, that phrase is very relatable. When you're depressed, more often than not you cannot see what's in front of you. You are blinded by sadness that makes the world seem so small, until you get out of depression and realize that "the world so small 'til it ain't, 'til it ain't, 'til it ain't, yeah"! Regardless of your situation, always remember that things will get better in due time. Stop counting your problems but keep count of your blessings. Reminders such as those help me get through the day!

If you have a friend or know somebody going through depression, please stick around for them and take time to listen to them! Make sure that you welcome them with open arms and that their cries will not fall on deaf ears. When we helped our friend with her depression we felt so helpless (that's what we don't want to feel like as a friend) but deep down I knew that simply being there for her helped her.

Lastly, I want to say this as a friendly reminder to you all in hopes that you can apply this to your life. "I will forever remain humble because I know I could have less. I will always be grateful because I know I've had less".
