Liverpool won’t buy anybody big this summer, they will most likely sell some players. Next season when we don’t have CL football this will be the reason they point towards for not bringing anybody big in. As you see, the owners have absolutely no interest in buying any big players and have 0 ambition to win anything :/

I agree, we offer him a decent contract. If he refuses we sell and if nobody wants him, he can train on his own for the year.
It’s not economically sound to pay a player hundreds of thousands of pounds a week to train alone all year.

That causes disharmony, lessens the players effectiveness and team cohesion, undermines the coach if he wants him in the side causing division between ownership and management and the club will be paying him the same rate for that privilege - to do what? Teach him lesson?

Klopp " don't close the door on them" by signing 12 new players in reference to the absolute strength of our academy. We have so many players coming through. This reflects strength. Maybe we should keep our 50 mil quid where it's seriously needed
Give academy players game time in cup games, if we use them as much as last season were 7 academy players were given mins in league games we are going to badly struggle this seasin, and unless we sign at min two top quality signings, centre back and holding midfielder i see us finishing between 6-4th.

Real Madrid are not in hurry to sign Trent it's not a signing for this year it's more likely for 2025 both Carvajal and Vasquez extended one year to 2025 its all in Liverpool hands if they keep silent and don't ask for extention then Trent will run up his contract and if Liverpool pushed hard and tried to force a contract then Real Madrid will come with a reduced offer. It's gonna be a transitional season... We most likely will fight for a top 4 but I do not see us challenging for the top spot. Slot will mostly evaluate his squad this season and any new addition will happen next summer.

Keep Trent and play him in the midfield for good and buy a classy orthodox right back and a center back, a classy striker an Ian Rush type of player.
I do not understand why Liverpool have become so tolerant on selling key players to Madrid or Barcelona. Madrid always play hardball when it comes to selling their players to Liverpool and yet they are always our rivals in Champions league competition and do not understand why Liverpool tolerate them so much. Liverpool management are living in the past as far as transfer business is concerned. Look at how other clubs are busy strengthening their squads. It is rather pathetic for Liverpool remaining passive like this.

Id sell Virg, salah and trent. Get Geertruida or frimpong, get Yilmaz, get Ederson and then someone like Brian Brobbey if Darwin gets a lengthy ban. Brobbey is a big bruiser who reminds me of a bigger version of Mane, the way hes so direct and got the strength to hold off defenders and charge past them.

The best case scenario for trent is to sell him and then get frimpong, but that wont ever happen under FSG.
Only days left before that release clause is up. Liverpool will be foolish to then overpay for Frimpong just because they didn't resolve the TAA issue.
I doubt Liverpool will buy more than 1 or possibly 2 players in this window. We need a central midfield destroyer to free up mcCallister. Then it’s about resolving the contract positions with TAA, VVD, Salah and Diaz.
We have some really good back up players coming through who may well become mainstays of the club as well as the first team. Bradley, Bajectic to name but 2.
The club is in a good position so stop wetting your pants over silly names that are using the clubs name for their own contractual negotiations
If Carvalho can be saved….excellent. If Van Den Verg can be re integrated….excellent too. If not they will raise funds for purchases. Add to that the wage bill has been temporarily reduced with the departures at various players as well

This season weve lost 2 and Adrian and signed none so far.
Next season we could lose Diaz, TAA and Salah and only get money for Diaz.
We'll have lost 7 players and be looking to spend the Diaz money on one player and possibly a loan a dirt cheap player.
We need a number 6 to teach Bajcetic we need a cb to replace Matip and we need a RW to challenge for Salah's spot or fill it when he leaves next season for free.
We also need a replacement for Adrian and a good one as we could lose Kelleher soon.

Sepp Van Den Berg is no suited to our tactics. Without seeing him in preseason Slot isn’t going to see that. And by that time it’s too late to sell and too late to sign one of the decent players avaliable. This transfer window is going to be the worst for Liverpool. A single DM won’t cut it and if we don’t even get that when all the other clubs are stocked in that position I’ll be shocked.

Madrid have build a super squad, it's normal to be tempted by them, even for a scouser like Trent, but I really hope he stays. We need to keep him, he is one of our best players, he represents what Liverpool is about and is in his prime years. In normal circumstances and in this market today, Trent should be worth at least 150 million pounds, so getting anything less than 100 million due to his contract situation will be a disaster, let alone losing him for free.
Liverpool need to offer him close to 300k pounds a week and see if it's enough to keep him. He should be the 2nd best paid player.
About Van Den Berg - a good defender, won't mind if we keep him, but we already have a physical specimen that is good in the air like Konate and is deficient on the ball, not sure we need another one in the Arne Slot's system. Sepp's passing is at best mediocre, so not sure it will work for us, but if he's able to improve it, might be a good backup. I would prefer to sell him and buy a left footed CB like Hincapie, Colwill, Schlotterbeck or more realistic ones like Pacho, Inacio and even Calafiori who hasn't moved to Arsenal yet (please Liverpool)
