Yes. Pastor Gary has a gift of translating scripture in a way that makes it both understandable and appropriate for the time we live in. I LOVE listening to his teachings. God bless you Pastor G. 🙏❤️🙌
Pastor Gary, You make the Bible understandable. I wish I lived closer to you. I would love to attend your church. Thanks for your life and your teaching. May the Lord continue to bless you .
Pastor Gary, THE SINNER'S PRAYER SHOULD BE SAID PUBLICALLY, JUST LIKE IN THE PAST AT THE BILLY GRAHAM'S CRUSADES!!! Having said that, pastor Gary, you are one of the few teachers of the Word who are my favorite and a mentor-like ministers of the Word and the true ambassadors of Jesus Christ in this DARK AND CHRISTLESS WORLD. May the Lord bless you and yours richly!!!
Thank you pastor Gary sir, you opened my eyes today. I didn't think i was the pearl of great price as i was a terrible person. But you opened my eyes i am even more grateful now than ever. Thank you so much God bless you. I loved the friendship bread.
Thank you. I was listening to 3 to 4 sermons on the parable of the hidden treasure, all with different explanations. Yours is direct and easy to understand.
Thankful for your faithful presentation of God's truth, especially his message of love and grace for all who will believe and receive it....Hoping many will turn to the Lord in these troubling times when he is the only One who can give us eternal forgiveness and peace of heart.
Kingdom of God is now in us now this dispensation, the holy spirit.. the Kingdom of Heaven is speaking from the old testament to the jews for end times. Robert Breaker is a great listen. God bless.
"Pearls" = us. "Pearl of Great Price" = the Church. (And notice: 'Great PRICE', not 'Great VALUE' - it's not about our worth, but what He was willing to give to make us His.)
I love your teachings, but I am not in full agreement with your version of some of the parables...the mustard seed and yeast. My interpretation is almost opposite😢
Is it just me or does Gary's interpretation of the leaven representing sin go against a majority of teaching on that verse?? Matt 13:33 Granted, leavan is often used to represent sin in other parabables, but I always thought leaven represented the Gospel in this context.
He is the first person I have heard who has interpreted leaven as sin in this passage. Previously when I had read these verses, the word leaven always made me think of sin and was slightly confused why Jesus used that word. If Jesus meant Christianity would spread and multiple, why use the word leaven to a Jewish audience.
@@SuzD-sy7tc Exactly. I do wonder about Leviticus 23:17-30 where there seems to be a sacrifice of leavened bread at the wave/peace offering, WHICH date wise, just so happens to correspond with Pentacost..... hmmm
9:13 666 Hand Sign who have eyes to see. They like mocking King David. And to claim there is an angel of death. Beware of false teachers who comes to you in sheeps clothing🙏
Jesus told Christians to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, Matthew 6:9,10! God's Kingdom is a heavenly government ruled by Jesus Christ as King. Soon Jesus will bring beautiful changes to the earth. There will be no more death, pain or sorrow on earth, Revelation 21:4,5! No more wickedness on earth, Psalm 37:9-11! After Armageddon the meek will inherit the earth and live forever on it, Psalm 37:29; Matthew 5:5; Proverbs 2:21,22! The earth will be cultivated into a Paradise like God intended in the beginning, Genesis 1:28; Isaiah 55:11! Jesus will do on a grand scale what he did when he walked the earth including raising those who are asleep in death, John 5:28,29! There will only be one government over the entire earth forever, Daniel 2:44! Jesus said that this good news of the Kingdom would be preached about in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come, Matthew 24:14! Can we believe these promises from the Almighty God? Of course we can, NUMBERS 23:19; Isaiah 42:8; Psalm 83:18!
I am positive that the Lord meant the Kingdom of God itself is the leaven which can transform a big chunk of dough according to its nature. Also I think brother Gary is a bit off on the parable of the tares. I believe the tares are 'fake believers.' It is not at all difficult for men to differenciate between professed non-believers and professed believers. What is difficult for men is to identify which is a true believer and which is not.
I think you may be off on the blanket statement of birds throughout the Bible and the analogy of birds being evil. I enjoyed the teaching, though. Why would Jesus explain the Kingdom of heaven to be corrupt? If Jesus was warning of corruption I think He would be more explicit like He is throughout the Gospels. I think the initial interpretation is correct; that the Kingdom starts out as planting seeds and that the seeds will eventually grow into their completed, ordained purpose , which is the others-serving, rest giving, grass roots movement of the Kingdom of God.
I am not understanding how "The Kingdom of HEAVEN" is like this "monstrosity" of a tree that evil things have sought shelter in. How is heaven a monstrosity and how did evil things get in? Earth I can see, but not heaven. The first story in 13 is not a "kingdom of God is like..." story. It doesn't mention anywhere in that paragraph that he is likening it to the Kingdom. The other paragraphs he specifically mentions it. Am I misunderstanding the location/content of the Kingdom of Heaven as heaven itself or the Millennial Kingdom? Is it supposed to be "church" on earth?
Thank you Pastor Hamrick for the wonderful job that you do of presenting the Gospel. I have really enjoyed all of your Bible Studies from the Gospel to the book of Revelation. Thank you and God bless you!
" The Kingdom of Heaven/God is at hand ". It is nearby. It is close. It is within us. God is Spirit and God is perfect and whole. In the Spirit of God all men are Christ. " All is in God and God is in all ". " Know thyself ". When you achieve what Jesus achieved , show Christ being a (wo)man , you truly followed him . Do not believe in physical Kingdoms where Jesus is your King and you his subjects. That is not what Jesus teaches us. In the realm of God exists no hierarchy. There is only the condition of Christ. Jesus , should not be worshipped as was he the golden calf of Moses. Jesus ofcourse is the greatest teacher of men, but he never demanded worship the way the world forces upon him , " You shall do the things I do, and even greater things you shall do ", He knew what is written in all beings born out of God. He is not above them. Everyone is his own King. I wish you well.
To describe a parable merely as an illustration thrown alongside a lesson to drive home a moral truth limits God and is therefore a breaking of the 2nd commandment. In other words, it's a sin. Jesus gave the true meaning of a parable and why he spoke in them: "...from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away." A parable serves the purpose of removing understanding from a hardened heart (it in no way drives home a moral truth to this individual; it has the exact opposite effect) It is important to realize that as a Christian, you have absolutely nothing to do with your salvation, nothing at all. All you brought to the table was your sinful, hardened heart, and you could never, ever understand the parables of Jesus. . . . unless... God's Holy Spirit got hold of you, your eyes were opened, and you began to understand because God granted you that understanding. If you understand and believe in the parables, understand that you had nothing to do with your own understanding. God brought you to that point; he decided to grant you understanding and not withhold it from you as he does from other hell-bound sinners with hardened hearts. The next time you hear anyone take any credit whatsoever for "coming back to God" remember that Your free will only applies to your REJECTION of God, and has nothing to do with your coming back to him. He takes all the glory for the latter, and we need to give that Glory to him.
Noah sent out a dove .was that bird evil? Elijah was fed by a raven .was that bird evil? They are Not always evil. The holy spirit came upon Jesus lile a dove. Does that mean like a devil? Doves are birds. At pentecost people eat two kinds of bread .unleavened and leavened. Fellowship offering meal has yeast, too. They are not always evil . When u use" always " in your sermon. It will cause debates .

Yeast and leaven in bread can also be interpreted as pride and ego, giving someone a swollen head or being fuffed up with pride and ego.
