I've been trading options very conservatively over the last two months and made 1k with my 1.5k initial investment But you really do have to have some stomach, its scary when things don't go like you plan. I cant quite go so big yet, but I'm happy with it.
@@TLOExodia up to febuary managed to get 1370$ more and then things got choppy, and lost about 600$. made about 200$ on shorts but i don't really like batting against the economy so im stitting it out waiting for consolidations to get back in. its chump change in comparison to others but i'm pretty happy because im not taking too many risks.
@@gominuke yeah I’m real careful, especially since I’m not legally trading. I’m 15, threw $100 in late last year and I’m right around $550 today. Wish I had the money to start but it helped me learn the market a lot, I had my first option 2 weeks ago Wednesday with Skillz, threw my last $70 i had settled in a $17 strike call. I thought it was time to step it up as with such a small balance throwing my whole account into something wasn’t getting me much of anywhere no matter how good the stock did. But Skillz did rocket in price the next two days up past 19 in after hours, and since the option expired that Friday once I saw it wasn’t moving at market open I took my $270 profit. I was proud of that hopefully I can keep growing it into something I can work with more at ease. Good luck too you :)
We've been living on $60000 clear a year since I retired 3 years ago and owe nothing. We are still putting money away every month. Two vehicles and a boat and having fun. Don't regret one day of retiring.
I bet more. $60000 @ 4%=$1.5 $60000 @ 5%=$1.2 $60000 @ 6%=$1 But I didn't include taxes but also not social security either. That was my goal almost 30 years ago however lost my job due to the pandemic and not sure I will hit that mark but in much better shape than if I didn't save anything. While I am a decade away, I ponder how much is enough? I continue to work for the benefits now mainly. Our expenses are relatively low.

Sadly, if you're down that much you didn't do very much research. Being down a few percent right now is fine due to the market, but 60% is crazy! A beginner, without any stock experience, shouldn't get started in something like this. Without any experience our knowledge you will most likely lose your money. Research shows that 95 to 98% of day traders don't make any profit, they will only lose money. Options is only for very experienced people, even for them it's risky. Just start with normal, low risk, stocks trading... This video is not a realistic example of how things will turn out.
A newbie should start with learning everything they can about trading from books, websites, videos etc. Next step would be spending time on a demo account to test trading strategies. Only after that start trading for real. But with something easier, not options, those are too advanced and risky for newbies. Jumping right into trading without any prior knowledge or preparation is a sure way to lose all your money.
Mate, don't gloss over the losses (8:10). Please make sure to express the volatility of options trading and how too much leverage can lead to great losses. Don't want your followers to miss this point.
Great stuff. I watch several youtube videos on how to trade in the market but haven't made any headstart because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands

@@tsteel80 I would recommend opening a paper trading account and messing around with the fake money they give you so you get an idea of how it would feel. Reading up on it helps but you’ll only really learn once you put your hands on it

I was able to retire early by putting 80% of my 401K into stocks right after the selloff in March. Four months later I was able to walk away from my job and have never looked back.
My strategy: Buy for roughly the same amount at the start of every month, hitting both market highs and lows through the year. Spread the risks by buying from multiple sectors. As long as nothing alarming happens with the company: keep the stock, like, forever 😎 Reinvest the dividends and watch that compound interest grow 🥳 It takes a long time before the results really starts showing, but I've got it close to automated and it doesn't stress me 😊

A year ago I tried options trading and lost a lot. I thought using spreads would help with minimizing risks but not only did the prices not go my way, I've been early assigned twice in just a couple weeks. After that I withdrew my remaining money and cut my loses. Thankfully I only put in money I could afford to lose, and came out with a lesson learned. There is no easy money.

Not bad. i turned 7000€ to 105k€ in few months. Just by 5X leverage on Nvidia and tesla stocks. Daily day trades with 5X leverage. Took it as daily job and it did pay off.
I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?
@robert anderson You're correct, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?

So my personal theory is even if you’re closing out an option when it’s ..let’s just say $1 in the green (profit). Technically it’s not a dollar you had before so small stepping stone. Profit is profit. I also prefer to try and close losing options to cap my losses instead of seeing if they’ll run. Hitting home runs are rare and usually hard to come by unless some gracious news blesses your account. Keep trucking though. Just realize profit is profit no matter what.

This is a great vid but for all the newbies to stocks here, PLEASE DON'T THINK THAT IT'S THIS EASY. The stock market rally finished last week little changed amid earnings from Apple stock, Tesla (TSLA) and hundreds more. It was a tough week for buying stocks. But it was a constructive week for many stocks. Five stocks near buy points with bullish pullbacks are Apple (AAPL), Nvidia (NVDA), Idexx Labs (IDXX), Tesla (TSLA), Cloudflare (NET), Apple, Nvidia, Idexx Labs and Tesla stock retreated last week, but may come out the better for it. Cloudflare stock did post a weekly gain, but had a healthy pullback later in the week. Stock Analyst and strategist Elvis Hercules warned that the pace of market gains since bottoming out in March 2020 following the pandemic-induced bear market plunge can't continue indefinitely. If your investing experience is less than 10 years start with 5-6 portfolio. Don't bet big on any single company, learn the process first. Initial diversification is not bad, it really worked for me during my early years. Remember that protection of capital is a must. Goodluck.
Very true. Also new investors should study the market. Market crashes are an opportune time to protect capital in the sense that one can gain years of growth from the bottom of a crash in a matter of months. this last crash provided over a decade of growth in majority of stock. Always be ready to jump at these opportunities.

I had an investment manager guiding me at this time and I happened to achieve my goal in 7 months and 3 weeks. Bought my $425K contemporary home. I started learning to trade options a year ago and am just now starting to get more stable and consistent. There's a lot to learn and a lot involved with getting your emotions under control. I liken it to a sport that requires a lot of skill and mental/emotional control. Over the last year, I've had wins and losses but more losses so anyone who is going to get started should be prepared for that. You'll eventually get your money back and more if you don't give up. Learning to do it is one of the best decisions I've ever made because it is changing my life.

Yes where do we start?
A beginner, without any stock experience, shouldn't get started in something like this. Without any experience our knowledge you will most likely lose your money. Research shows that 95 to 98% of day traders don't make any profit, they will only lose money. Options is only for very experienced people, even for them it's risky. Just start with normal, low risk, stocks trading... This video is not a realistic example of how things will turn out.
A newbie should start with learning everything they can about trading from books, websites, videos etc. Next step would be spending time on a demo account to test trading strategies. Only after that start trading for real. But with something easier, not options, those are too advanced and risky for newbies. Jumping right into trading without any prior knowledge or preparation is a sure way to lose all your money.
Mate, don't gloss over the losses (8:10). Please make sure to express the volatility of options trading and how too much leverage can lead to great losses. Don't want your followers to miss this point.

I been trading for about a year. Started with a grand and today hit 19k. All I do is day trades and a couple long term holds. I wish I knew how to do options but it seems so complicated to me. Also, my understanding is you don't have to pay taxes on positions because until you cash out you haven't actually made that money yet.

Not bad. i turned 7000€ to 105k€ in few months. Just by 5X leverage on Nvidia and tesla stocks. Daily day trades with 5X leverage. Took it as daily job and it did pay off.
How did you decide on which stocks to buy? was it just luck or did you do research?
I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade backfires and slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless, any advice for a struggling trader?
@robert anderson You're correct, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves . Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any legit ones?

So my personal theory is even if you’re closing out an option when it’s ..let’s just say $1 in the green (profit). Technically it’s not a dollar you had before so small stepping stone. Profit is profit. I also prefer to try and close losing options to cap my losses instead of seeing if they’ll run. Hitting home runs are rare and usually hard to come by unless some gracious news blesses your account. Keep trucking though. Just realize profit is profit no matter what.

The stock market rally finished last week little changed amid earnings from Apple stock, Tesla (TSLA) and hundreds more. It was a tough week for buying stocks. But it was a constructive week for many stocks. Five stocks near buy points with bullish pullbacks are Apple (AAPL), Nvidia (NVDA), Idexx Labs (IDXX), Tesla (TSLA), Cloudflare (NET), Apple, Nvidia, Idexx Labs and Tesla stock retreated last week, but may come out the better for it. Cloudflare stock did post a weekly gain, but had a healthy pullback later in the week. Stock Analyst and strategist Elvis Hercules warned that the pace of market gains since bottoming out in March 2020 following the pandemic-induced bear market plunge can't continue indefinitely. If your investing experience is less than 10 years start with 5-6 portfolio. Don't bet big on any single company, learn the process first. Initial diversification is not bad, it really worked for me during my early years. Remember that protection of capital is a must. Goodluck.

Market crashes are an opportune time to protect capital in the sense that one can gain years of growth from the bottom of a crash in a matter of months. this last crash provided over a decade of growth in majority of stock. Always be ready to jump at these opportunities.

I started learning to trade options a year ago and am just now starting to get more stable and consistent. There's a lot to learn and a lot involved with getting your emotions under control. I liken it to a sport that requires a lot of skill and mental/emotional control. Over the last year, I've had wins and losses but more losses so anyone who is going to get started should be prepared for that. You'll eventually get your money back and more if you don't give up.
