Why is it that the Lancer in this game is a pistol that spews tiny deadly fireballs and the Lancer in Gears of War is a assault rifle that rains semi to fully automatic storms of bulletfire along with a chainsaw attachment that thirsts for the blood of its foes and the wood of doors? I think someone decided they could do the name justice.

Actually it does improve the textures, not the textures themselves but the clarity. The game has much more crisp graphics than the ps2 version.
