Gosh those are some nice looking undermount boxes! They are so expensive! I need to buy some for my bus.
Yeah. When i first scoped them out they were like $250 each. I marked them with the Honey extension (not affiliated) and it notifies you when they go down in price. I picked them up on Black Friday sale for $147 each. I’d wait till the next Amazon Prime day and they’ll probably be on sale. Highly recommend getting some if you don’t already have underbody storage

Bro that intro. That is exactly why I wear steel toe cowboy boots. I was thinking a similar method for mounting my generator.
I’ve never been more happy to wear steel toe boots in my life 😅. Let me know if you do the generator mount. I’ve contemplated doing one as well as it seems very similar to mounting the boxes
@@Escapademade I am going to mount it for sure. I took the ONAN 5500 watt out of my old 5th wheel so I have one to use. Right now I am working on electrical and started dropping in some lithiums

Newbie question: Did you figure the weight distribution of the storage boxes for when they are full? For example, if you decide to store all your tools and other heavy items in those bins, is there an equal weight on the opposite side of the bus to balance the load? If not, how does that affect the bus’ handling while driving, especially on curves? And also will the heavy load on one side affect the shocks and the brakes on either side? What about an increase in stopping distance?
Great question. At most the boxes will have a couple hundred pounds combined amongst all them. Busses are rated for like 70+ children (20k pounds) so I believe it’ll be good
